Growing up, I did not have an interest in planting or taking care of plants. Though my grandparents were farmers, I was never exposed to going to the field to plant.
Later in life, I started liking plants, especially those indoors. I guess our likes evolve through the years. βΊοΈπ
I already blogged about my monstera about three years ago, and still, it is growing strong!
Now, I want to move on to smaller plants like Zanzibar Gem.
This plant was introduced by my friend, and she said she only waters it once a month. I was like, Oh, wow, thatβs a very low-maintenance plant. And what I like about it is that it filters the air inside the room (which I need after being myself to the outsideβs dirty air.π )
I found potted zee zee plants online, but I want to see them first before purchasing.
With my intrusive self, I braved Dangwa Market to see my luck. π€
Like I said, it happened intrusively, and so I was not expecting to see a zee zee plant, but more of buckets of flowers because thatβs what Dangwa Market is known for.
How can a big sunflower not brighten someoneβs day? π»β¨
I was looking at them, and a nice lady approached me. She said she can give me one sunflower for $2. I said, I do not need it right now, but I will surely promote her store to my friends. I asked her if she happened to know a store for indoor plants, and she said it would be on the other street.
Pretty little daisies! π
I thought they looked like eggs. π Haha, is it weird? Oh, it might be just my imagination of colors. A nice addition to bouquets, right?
It was already past 5 in the afternoon, and some bundles of flowers were on sale. The flowers were not withered all day way, and hey, $0.80 is not bad! ππ»
As I passed by a bouquet of flowers, a saleslady, probably in her 60s soft soft-selling me and said βHello, para sa buhay or patay po?β (For the living or for the dead?β
I was stunned for a moment, haha.π Of course, it is not every day that someone will ask me such a question. And yeah, it came back in my head that I was in a flower market.
Maybe in another life, I want to be a florist. I want to be a creative in the form of flower arranging.
These were bouquets manually wrapped and arranged.
Amazing how they mastered the craft. Buyers can customize their flowers by just asking. I was watching this guy do the magic, but too many people to stay in one spot, so I had to move on.
Finally arrived in the street of plants. π
Compared to flowers, it was only a fraction of the selection. Using Google Lens, the right is called Chinese Evergreen, and on the left side, it cannot be determined, haha. π On the back was a potted zebra plant.
Crates of different succulents.. but no zee zee plant. π So pretty to look at and to take one, but nope! I do not need another plant.
Even though I did not see a single zee zee plant, I was happy to see sunflowers and roses.βΊοΈ
It was not that disappointing at all, in fact, the bursting sea of colors gave a smile on my face. After my little adventure, I was even more excited for the next plant-searching.
Thanks for reading! π·
I will see you at the next one!
