Snow caped Mountains in Slovenia and Italy

Do you want so see a few snow covered mountains shortly before the Spring begins?

Wollt ihr kurz vor Frühlingsbeginn noch ein paar schneebedeckte Berge sehen?

It didn't really snow a lot last weekend, but enough to put a white cap on the mountains again and get the rocks and trees nice sugar white.

Wirklich viel hat es nicht geschneit letztes Wochenende, aber genug, um den Bergen wieder eine weiße Kappe aufzusetzen und die Felsen und Bäume weiß zu zuckern.

The Mangart (above) is the fourth highest peak in the Julian Alps at 2,677 meters and is located in the Slovenian-Italian border area. I photographed the beautiful mountain, which will see me again in summer, from Italy, namely about 10 meters after the Slovenian-Italian border on the Predil Pass.

Der Mangart (oben) ist mit 2.677 Metern Höhe (8,789 feet) der vierthöchste Gipfel in den Julischen Alpen und befindet sich im Slowenisch-Italienischen Grenzgebiet. Fotografiert habe ich den schönen Berg, der mich im Sommer wiedersehen wird, von Italien aus, nämlich etwa 10 Meter nach der Slowenisch-Italienischen Grenze am Predilpass.

Also from the border, looking south, I photographed this forested hill with the beautiful snow-covered trees on the top.

Ebenfalls von der Grenze aus mit Blickrichtung Süden habe ich diesen bewaldeten Hügel mit den schön verschneiten Bäumen auf der Kuppe fotografiert.

To the west of my location on the border are the mountains in the next three photos, and after an intensive search I was able to find out what the rocky mountain is called: Cima delle Cenge with a height of 2,007 meters (6,585 feet).

Im Westen von meinem Standort an der Grenze befinden sich die Berge auf den nächsten drei Fotos, und nach intensiver Suche konnte ich herausfinden, wie der felsige Berg heißt: Cima delle Cenge mit einer Höhe von 2.007 Meter.

Looking south from the shore of Lago del Predil. The mountains that can be seen in the photo above are called Cima Confine / Velika Črnelska špica (2,334 meters), Monte Cergnala / Hudi Vršič (2,345 meters) and Mogenza piccola / Bohinca (1,946 meters).

The lake was never completely frozen this winter, at least not when I was there.

Der See war in diesem Winter niemals komplett zugefroren, zumindest nie als ich dort gewesen bin.

The Cinque Punte (Five Peaks) is 1,909 meters high (6,263 feet) and is located near the village of Raibl / Cave del Predil in Italy, which also gives the Lago del Predil and the Predil Pass its name.

Der Raibler Fünfspitz oder Cinque Punte auf Italienisch ist 1.909 Meter hoch und liegt bei der Ortschaft Raibl / italienisch Cave del Predil in Italien, welche auch dem Raibler See / Lago del Predil und dem Predilpass ihren Namen gibt.

I find mountains most beautiful when they are covered with snow in winter, but now, like everyone else, I am waiting for spring to come, the grass and other plants to grow and the nature turns green again.

Ich finde Berge am schönsten, wenn sie im Winter mit Schnee bedeckt sind, aber jetzt warte ich eigentlich wie jeder darauf, dass es endlich Frühling wird, Gras und die übrigen Pflanzen wachsen und es wieder grün wird.
