Hello my beautiful people of Hive, I hope you are very well. Today I want to tell you how was a trip I made with my friends and classmates from the university to the Zoo aquarium in the city of Valencia here in Venezuela.
Well, I tell you that weeks ago we organized a university trip as part of the closing project of one of the subjects we are studying; it is about animal ecology, a very nice, interesting and important subject for our career. During the whole semester we were evaluated in different ways but for the end the professor proposed a different way of evaluating us, much more recreational.
His initial proposal was to visit the zoo Baradida in the city of Barquisimeto but being farther away from where we live here in Cojedes we understood that the logistics of the trip would be greater so all my classmates together with the teacher decided to go to the aquarium in Valencia, much closer and more accessible.
Our professor's intention was that we would be in contact with the animals we were studying in class but in a closer way and that at the same time it would be a recreational activity that we could enjoy, and that would help us to distract our minds for a while to relax a little from the stress that the end of the semester brought us, which this time was quite convulsive, that's why the idea of the trip excited us from the beginning.
The day of the visit arrived and we left early towards the city of Valencia, the trip on the way was very quiet so we arrived quickly, around 9 am. When we arrived at the place we paid the entrance fee which is really cheap, around 2 to 3 #HIVE. After we entered the first thing we saw was many groups of school children participating in their guided tours of the site.
We immediately gathered as a whole group and started exploring and getting to know the zoo. The teacher told us that we had to take a good look at each animal and observe their behavior within the habitat where they were located because that was going to be important at the time of the evaluation. We listened to him and went through each habitat where we found different types of animals, from goats, donkeys, to crocodiles, monkeys, jaguars and harpy eagles.
The truth is that observing the animals in their spaces was not something that pleased me very much because one always expects to see them in freedom, although I understand that zoos are important for the conservation of species. We continued our tour that was becoming more and more interesting, on the way we took several pictures, both of the animals and of us.
When we finished our tour of the zoo, it was time to enter the aquarium. The truth is that the first impression of this area is that it is very well preserved and in very good condition, the atmosphere is very pleasant. When you enter you are given indications not to use the flash of the cameras and then you can start the tour.
I liked it very much because you can see many types of fish swimming in the ponds, the variety of fish and other species is incredible. Watching the fish swim was fun and I couldn't help but take a lot of pictures, I personally liked the aquarium much more than the zoo.
As with the zoo tour, in this case we also had to be very attentive to each species and their technical data to be used later in the evaluation that the teacher would do. We finished the tour of the aquarium, which lasted about an hour and a half, and we left the enclosure; we sat down to rest on some benches in the vicinity and had lunch.
In the place there are stalls where they sell various types of food and very good drinks, such as tizanas that were refreshing, besides that there are sales of educational games and souvenirs of the place. I found it a very nice and special place to visit with family, friends or even a romantic date, why not ... For all that I want to recommend that if you ever have the opportunity to visit this place in the city of Valencia, sure you will have a great time, as I did.
