Hello! Very good morning, afternoon and evening to all the Hive community, I hope you have a great day, then I will tell you about my great day after so much waiting, on Wednesday August 4 I finally received my university degree that certifies me as a graduate in food technology at the Universidad de Oriente Núcleo Monagas, that little paper in my hands as my paternal grandmother says, is a great and exciting satisfaction at that moment came to me many memories of all the things I had to sacrifice to achieve this personal goal.

I started my university journey in March 2012, looking for a change for the career of medicine but due to fate it was not given to me and I finished subjects in 2018 and at the end of that year I was able to present my thesis and delivered all my copies in 2019, but why I did not graduate much earlier? I certainly missed the community service, because it was always a hassle as we say in my country, or was the teachers, the community, bad budgets and stop counting, plus the high inflation in Venezuela and some personal problems that came my way that is not worth remembering, beyond all that I am a true believer that God's times are perfect and that was not my time at that time.
At the beginning of 2020, once the community service of my group was approved, I went to the university to get my certificate, I remember that the coordinator told me that my certificate was not printed, to come next week and in the course of that same week BANG! the President arrives to decree a mandatory radical quarantine because the Covid 19 arrived in Venezuela, bad luck xD
Already at the beginning of this 2021 my thesis partner tells me that the university activated it to be able to deliver papers to opt to enter in the promotion of March, I go again to look for the blessed certificate and I see another girl and I explain my situation and in the end I had to give my data again to print me another certificate, I waited for the flexible week that was coming, I waited for the flexible week that was coming, since in my country there is a week of radical quarantine that only the most important services are active (health, transportation and food) and a flexible week to activate the economy and there if all the services work, following the above after I got that flexible week I looked for my certificate and it turns out that now I was missing a signature xD. For a moment I thought that I was never going to leave the university, I even fell into a depression, but always clinging to God I did not stop, I went the other flexible week to get my certificate but I could not deliver papers because the deadline had passed, but I said no way let's wait when will be the next act.
June came when the notification came that they were going to start receiving papers for the next act, I did everything to get my papers, after I handed in my papers, we were all waiting for the long awaited list, we were all nervous because the days passed and nothing until the list appeared and as my last name begins with S and well I saw my name was an incredible emotion, first I thanked God and Jesus, then I hugged my mom, I told my dad to look his best, I called some friends who were with me in the worst moments, when I needed them the most.

Graduating from the Universidad de Oriente is more than receiving a university degree, attending an award ceremony in the middle of a world pandemic, but beyond all that, graduating from the UDO is a long journey, an experience of personal and mental growth, there I met people with very different thoughts to mine, some more extraordinary than others, who have left their mark on my heart, in a deep and unforgettable way. At the university I found a great FAMILY, not of blood. Brothers to help each other, hallway friends, colleagues to study at dawn, friends to play cards in free time, partners for sports, partners to queue in the dining hall and transportation (when it worked xD). As I progressed in my university journey, thanks to my career group CETAUDO, I understood the meaning of being a UDO student and being a UDISTA who defends the university against any adversity. And beyond what I learned inside the classroom, what I learned outside the classroom will accompany me for the rest of my life. The UDO teaches you to be a better person, to help those who need it most, to have empathy and to continue fighting for this beautiful country, with a great desire to move forward. My achievement is not only mine, first of all, to thank and give all the glory to God, to my family, especially my parents for supporting me and being there at all times, to all my classmates and friends who were part of this long road where I laughed, suffered, and enjoyed university life, which undoubtedly is a unique stage in life, both those who are and those who left us on this earthly plane as our brothers Eulis and Dilio that is dedicated especially for them, to my teachers for continuing to resist in the midst of many things. Having a degree in this country situation and the aforementioned pandemic, is the greatest act of resistance, in the face of so many factors and situations that occur daily in Venezuela. With perseverance, discipline and motivation we can achieve any goal we set for ourselves. It only remains to continue fighting for a better country in the future, From the People We Come and Towards the People We Go. It only remains for me to write We did it!
