Saludos amigos bienvenidos nuevamente a un nuevo post!

As you noticed in my previous posts I like a lot what it's like to repair things but with time every hero gets his nemesis and I've got it closer than expected. My youngest son is my nemesis! XD has an incredible ability to destroy toys and I'm glad he doesn't, but I suffer when I see him dragging carts across the earth at full speed as he or the dolls jump through the air in epic battles. I don't intend to take away his pleasure in playing with 100% of his imagination but I do try to show him how to keep his toys healthier.

Como ya notaron en mis post anteriores me agrada mucho lo que es reparar las cosas pero con el tiempo todo héroe consigue su némesis y yo lo he conseguido más cerca de lo esperado. Mi hijo menor es mi némesis! XD tiene una habilidad increíble para destruir juguetes y aclaro aunque no lo hace por mal igual sufro cuando lo veo arrastrando los carritos por la tierra toda velocidad según el o los muñecos saltando por los aires en batallas épicas. No pienso quitarle el gusto de jugar con el 100% de su imaginación pero si trato de mostrarle como mantener más sanos sus juguetes.

The fact is that he has several toys that although they are not completely broken, they need some repair, a touch up and this weekend I decided together with my older son to help restore some toys that had a chance of surviving this treatment and that is when "Toy Doctor" XD comes to the rescue.

El caso es que posee varios juguetes que si bien no están rotos del todo, necesitan un cierto arreglo, un retoque y este fin de semana decidí junto a mi hijo mayor ayudar a restaurar algunos juguetes que tenían una posibilidad de subsistir ante este trato y es cuando viene al rescate el “Doctor Juguete” XD.

I decide to take apart several toys that had complicated parts and take advantage of showing my son how to use screwdrivers and some other tools as well as what are the possibilities to manage when repairing some object, such as the fact that we can use heat to melt the plastic and fix objects on it and that with patience everything can be done.

Decido desarmar varios juguetes que tenían piezas complicadas y aproveche de mostrarle a mi hijo el uso de destornilladores y algunas otras herramientas además de cuales son las posibilidades para ingeniárselas al momento de reparar algún objeto, como por ejemplo el hecho de que podemos usar derretir el plástico con calor y fijar objetos en él y que con paciencia todo se puede.

We start the consultation with a public transport bus that has simple mechanisms to open and close doors and another mechanism on the wheels that allows it to maintain its speed for a short time and emit a noise similar to that of a running engine (written like this, the damned XD toy looks complicated). The poor bus had the door mechanism destroyed and wouldn't go forward because the motor was stuck and I decide with my son to unscrew the whole bus (first time I've seen so many screws in a toy) and we find that the door which was held by a kind of plastic tip was broken and the motor was full of little stones.

Comenzamos la consulta con un autobús de transporte público que posee mecanismos simples para abrir y cerrar puertas y otro mecanismo en las ruedas que le permiten mantener su velocidad por corto tiempo y emitir un ruido parecido al de un motor en marcha (escrito así, se ve complicado el condenado juguete XD). El pobre autobús tena el mecanismo de las puertas destruido y no avanzaba debido a que el motor estaba trabado y decido junto a mi hijo a destornillar todo el bus (primera vez que veo tantos tornillos en un juguete) y nos encontramos con que la puerta que era sostenida por una especie de punta de plástico estaba rota y el motor estaba lleno de piedritas.

I proceeded to heat some wire in the stove and fixed it where the broken plastic tip that activates the mechanism to open and close doors corresponded, then we cleaned the gears that the "motor" had and then we assembled everything as new!

Procedí a calentar un poco de alambre en la estufa y caliente lo fije en donde correspondía la punta de plástico rota que activa el mecanismo de abrir y cerrar puertas, seguidamente limpiamos los engranes que poseía el “motor” y luego armamos todo quedando todo como nuevo!

After the bus, there was a taxi that, after carrying so many dolls and being hit by so many buses (including our previous patient), had its advertisement totally taken off and seemed to be rattling due to the amount of stones inside it for going to "unpaved" spaces. This patient was much easier because I had seen the piece under a piece of furniture before and decided to keep it for "sometime" to put it back on. Besides not having internal mechanisms and only having to clean a little, but it is clear the change he suffered in the photos.

Luego del Bus, venia un taxi que luego de llevar a tantos muñecos y ser chocado por tantos buses (incluyendo nuestro anterior paciente anterior) tenía totalmente despegado su anuncio además de parecer sonaja debido a la cantidad de piedritas que tenía adentro por ir a espacios “sin asfalto”. Este paciente fue mucho más sencillo debido a que con anterioridad vi la pieza debajo de un mueble y decidí guardarla para “en algún momento” volver a colocársela. Además de no poseer mecanismos interno y solo tener que limpiar un poco, pero es claro el cambio que sufrió en las fotos.

As the last patient of the week (I am a rural doctor and come once a week XD) we have a motorcycle chopper hot wheels that on a trip to the city center suffered a hard accident against the shopping cart and detached its front wheel. With this patient I just decided to use a small piece of aluminum and patiently get it to fit as a bolt on the bike.

Como último paciente de la semana (soy doctor rural y vengo una vez por semana XD) tenemos una motocicleta chopper hot wheels que en un viaje al centro de la ciudad sufrió un duro accidente contra el carrito de compras y se desprendió su rueda delantera. Con este paciente solo decidí utilizar un pequeño pedazo de aluminio y con paciencia lograr que ajustara como perno de la moto.

This story came out of the quarantine, where we adults have to invent how to hang out with the kids and make them enjoy themselves and clear their minds. It's also a good lesson for my son May since he learned a skill that he didn't have and I hope that the little one saw that we also have to fix and not be so rough with toys, and I think that something would be left for the little one, since in the afternoon of that day I saw him with the same bus crash (flipped) and being rescued by other toys.

Esta historia salió de la cuarentena, donde entre nosotros los adultos tenemos que inventar como pasar el rato con los niños y hacer que ellos disfruten y despejen la mente. Además es una buena lección para mi hijo mayo ya que aprendió una habilidades que no tenía y espero que el pequeño viera que también debemos de arreglar y no ser tan bruscos con los juguetes, y creo que algo le quedaría al menor, ya que en la tarde de ese día lo vi con el mismo bus accidentado (volteado) y siendo rescatado por otros juguetes.
