Earth Our Mother is a living organism, we borrowed the material of our body from Her, and we will give it back to Her one day.
But it really matters how we use our body, how we take care of its health and integrity, and its environment or not. How much we respect the living environment that supports us. How much we are aware of other living beings and how we communicate with them throughout our lives. Or simply admire and love them.
Life is both strong and fragile. A small flower is able to break up the asphalt as the roots of a tree-giant crack the rocks. How do little birds with their tiny brains know how to build a nest, how can spiders masterfully re-weave their webs in a few hours? How can a furry bumblebee fly with its small wings compared to its body?
A curious and openhearted child living within us can ask such questions. In left-hemisphere mode, we don’t even notice miracles because our minds are full of a lot of unnecessary thoughts, daily problems, worries, annoyances, etc. In this case, a short daily walk or a larger hike in nature can help anyone.
Intense exercise, walking, running release hormones of happiness. That's when the excuses come: it's cold, it's hot, it's raining, I don't have the right clothes, I can't stand walking, I don't have time for it... I used to say that too, but now I can enjoy it without objection. I throw away my mental and emotional burdens, the many “how” and “why”. Then I start paying attention to nature, the little things as well as the big, comprehensive picture.
And then, in the veins of a leaf, I see the veins of Mother Earth, the network of rivers, and my own network of blood vessels. They are all alive, flowing and throbbing, carrying matter, energy and, most importantly, information.
Let's think of as many people as possible in this process, let's feel its significance, and celebrate life this way!
