The weather has become very nice and cool in Bangkok and we have a long holiday weekend. This means that people will be flocking to the mountain resorts in the north of Thailand. There would be long queue at gas stations, restaurants and coffee shops along the way to Chiengmai and Petchaboon, being very popular winter destinations. Lots of people will be going to the National Parks for camping. You might find it funny to know that these people spend a lot of money and time to travel all the way to see foggy sunrise.
They would have to wake up around 4-5 am just to catch the best spots for taking photos of rising sun above the sea of thick fog on high mountain resorts or camping areas. They would be very excited by the cold temperature and seeing ‘foggy air’ when talking. I find this very amusing because it just confirms that “the grass is greener on the other side!” I still could recall how I suffered from cold temperature in the dorm while trying to study for my college exams!
So, knowing that time flies like crazy these days, I try to be out enjoying the sunny day by walking and shopping. This year most shopping malls have scaled down their Christmas decorations quite a bit. I did a post on a posh Christmas decorations earlier here. I happened to need a new mouse for my laptop; I had accidentally thrown it about too many times. Actually, I had been learning to buy some bitcoin and other cryptos online. This new FOMO about bitcoin rocketing due to so many mainstream investors coming into bitcoin this month has been quite surprising. The computing store is on the third floor of this huge shopping mall where I could see the tall Christmas tree standing by the escalator. Green Christmas trees with lots of gold and red decorations are my favorite; they are more soothing and calming to the brain. So, I bought a piece of chocolate cake and enjoyed it on the seating area in front of the Christmas tree. It was nice to have some peaceful chocolate cake moment with green Christmas tree. That was my highlight for a long weekend holiday. Life enjoyment could be amazingly simple, cheap and relaxing sometimes.
ตอนนี้เป็นวันหยุดยาวในเดือนธันวาคม คนกรุงเทพก็ไปดูทะเลหมอกทางภาคเหนือกัน เพื่อไปสัมผัสกับความหนาวเย็นด้วย เราเองคงไม่ตื่นเต้นไปกับเขาด้วย เพราะเราไม่นิยมไปแย่งกันกินและรถติดบนถนนเป็นชั่วโมง และต้องตื่นตั้งแต่ตีสี่เพื่อเดินไปจองที่ดีๆ สำหรับถ่ายรูปภาพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นท่ามกลางทะเลหมอก เราเคยต้องเดินฝ่าทะเลหมอกหนาทึบมาแล้วตอนไปปีนภูเขาที่ยุโรป และต้องทนกับอากาศที่หนาวเหน็บช่วงดูหนังสือสอบที่เมืองนอก เข็ดความหนาวมากๆแล้ว ชอบอากาศอุ่นสบายที่มีท้องฟ้าสวยสดใสมากกว่า เราจึงชอบฉวยโอกาสที่มีวันอากาศดีๆ ออกไปเดินเล่นและช็อปปิ้ง
เราไปเดินช็อปปิ้งที่ห้างสรรพสินค้าพระรามสาม ตอนนี้เขาประดับห้างด้วยต้นคริสต์มาสสีเขียวต้นสูงใหญ่เท่าตึกสี่ชั้นได้กระมัง เราชอบใจมากที่ไปสีเขียว และมีของประดับเป็นสีแดงและสีทอง ทำให้ดูแล้วผ่อนคลายมาก เราก็ไปซื้อเค้กช็อกโกแลตมานั่งกินตรงม้านั่ง กินไปก็ดูต้นไม้สีเขียวไป ทำให้มีความบันเทิงใจดีกว่าไปดูทะเลหมอก ความจริงเราไปที่ห้างสรรพสินค้าเพราะ ต้องไปหาซื้อเมาส์ตัวใหม่ เราเล่นมันจนน่วมสายไฟเกือบหลุด ตอนนี้เรากำลังเรียนรู้เรื่องการซื้อคริปโตในเมืองไทย คนกำลังพูดถึงว่าบิทคอยน์กำลังจะขึ้นเหมือนจรวด เราเคยพลาดโอกาสไปแล้วครั้งก่อน ตอนนี้ต้องมาหาความรู้กัน เพื่อให้ไม่ตกขบวนรถไฟหรือจรวดไปดวงจันทร์นั่นเอง
I just hope that my small investment in bitcoin this Christmas will grow and skyrocket to at least 100 times next year! Then, I could have a well dug on my farm and get a proper camera!
