Hello my dearest hive friends! How are you guys feeling? I hope you are all doing well.
This blog is all about...
👩🏻🎓 Practicality Versus Passion: A Student’s Struggle in Choosing a College Course 👩🏻🎓
I am currently a Grade 12 student and I am really struggling with what course to choose. I know that I am not the only one who is still unsure about what course to take, and I will be sharing my struggles to make you guys feel better, especially those who are still undecided about their college course, just like me.
I only applied to three universities, and I applied for different courses at each university.
PRACTICALITY
Cebu Normal University (CNU). I applied for a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. My parents really want me to become a teacher, and they said that it is the most practical course. However, I don't want to be a teacher. I can't explain why, it's just that I don't see myself being a teacher in the next five years. I still applied for an education course in order for my parents to feel that I did not disregard their opinion.
University of the Philippines Cebu (UP Cebu). I applied for a Bachelor of Science Major in Mathematics. However, my parents do not allow me to pursue this course because they said that I will not become successful if I pursue BS MATH. T__T
PASSION
Cebu Technological University (CTU). I applied for a Bachelor of Science Major in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they allowed me to apply for a course that I really wanted. I was so happy when they finally allowed me to apply for Mechanical Engineering. I really want to become a successful and licensed Mechanical Engineer someday. I already took the entrance exam, departmental exam, and one-on-one interview. Hopefully, my application will be successful because I really, really want to study at CTU. In God's grace 🍀
MY TOTGA COURSE
Bachelor of Science Major in Chemical Engineering. Ever since junior high school, I really wanted to become a Chemical Engineer. T__T But my family could not afford the tuition fee.
Are you guys struggling with your college course too? Let's talk about it in the comment section.
In God's grace, may we all be successful someday.
