La 5ta edición del Reciclaje Creativo Challenge ♻️♻️ llegó, y no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad para enseñarles a realizar estos hermosos números con onda discotequera 💕, si bien saben hace un par de semanas fue mi cumpleaños 🥳, y con esta celebración surgió la idea de realizar este proyecto 🤔, la verdad me tomo varios días hacerlos aunque realmente fue porque los hice con bastante calma 🤣, al final el resultado no hizo más nada que encantarme 😍. Así que ya no compres tus números de cumpleaños, aquí te enseño como hacerlos por tu cuenta 😉.
The 5th edition of the Creative Recycling Challenge ♻️♻️ arrived, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to teach you how to make these beautiful numbers with a disco vibe 💕, even though you know a couple of weeks ago was my birthday 🥳, and with this celebration the idea of making this project came up 🤔, the truth is that it took me several days to make them although it was really because I made them quite calmly 🤣, in the end the result did nothing but enchant me 😍. So don't buy your birthday numbers anymore, here I show you how to make them on your own 😉.
♻️ MATERIALES || MATERIALS ♻️
- Cartón.
- Hojas de papel recicladas o Papel Periódico.
- CD.
- Lápiz o Marcador.
- Regla y Cinta Métrica.
- Cúter.
- Tijera.
- Silicón.
- Cinta Adhesiva.
- Pintura al frio.
- Pincel.
- Harina de Trigo (esto será para hacer un engrudo).
- Cardboard.
- Recycled paper sheets or newsprint.
- CD.
- Pencil or Marker.
- Ruler and Tape Measure.
- Cutter.
- Scissors.
- Silicone.
- Adhesive Tape.
- Cold paint.
- Brush.
- Wheat flour (this will be to make a paste).
♻️ PASO 1: A Marcar, Cortar y Armar || STEP 1: To Mark, Cut and Assemble ♻️
Comenzamos sacando en papel la plantilla de nuestros números, los cuales podemos fácilmente buscar por internet y hacerlos del tamaño que nosotros queramos, luego marcaremos estas plantillas en el cartón, teniendo en cuenta que necesitamos 2 piezas de cada número.
We start by taking out the paper template of our numbers, which we can easily search online and make them the size we want, then we will mark these templates on the cardboard, taking into account that we need 2 pieces of each number.
Después mediremos los laterales de los números, con ayuda de la regla o la cinta métrica, y cortaremos rectángulos de cartón que tengan 4cm de ancho (o el ancho que tú quieras darle a tus números).
Then we will measure the sides of the numbers, with the help of the ruler or the tape measure, and we will cut cardboard rectangles that are 4cm wide (or the width you want to give your numbers).
Comenzamos a pegar con silicón los rectángulos de cartón por toda la orilla de una de las piezas de los números y los terminaremos de asegurar con trocitos de cinta adhesiva. Luego pegaremos encima la otra pieza de cartón, la cual también aseguraremos con trocitos de cinta adhesiva.
We begin to glue the cardboard rectangles with silicone all around the edge of one of the pieces of the numbers and we will finish securing them with pieces of adhesive tape. Then we will stick the other piece of cardboard on top, which we will also secure with pieces of tape.
♻️ PASO 2: Forrar, Pintar y Decorar || STEP 2: Lining, Painting and Decorating ♻️
Hacemos un engrudo con harina de trigo, el cual se prepara con 1 taza de agua y ½ taza de harina de trigo, se lleva a cocinar y cuando comience a tomar una consistencia de puré, se le añade 1 cucharada de azúcar, se mezcla y se quita de la estufa.
We make a paste with wheat flour, which is prepared with 1 cup of water and ½ cup of wheat flour, take it to cook and when it begins to take a puree consistency, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, mix and remove from the stove.
En mi caso no tenía papel periódico, que es el más recomendado, así que corte trocitos de hojas de papel recicladas, y me fue igual de bien.
In my case I didn't have newsprint, which is the most recommended, so I cut up little pieces of recycled paper, and I did just as well.
Esparcimos una capa de nuestro engrudo sobre los números, bien sea con pincel o con nuestros dedos (yo utilice los dedos, se me hacía más fácil), encima colocamos los trocitos de papel y luego por encima volvemos a esparcir otra capa del engrudo; así haremos hasta cubrir todo nuestro número. Los dejaremos secar preferiblemente toda la noche.
We spread a layer of our paste on the numbers, either with a brush or with our fingers (I used my fingers, it was easier), on top we put the pieces of paper and then we spread another layer of paste on top; this way we will cover all our number. We will let them dry preferably overnight.
Una vez tengamos completamente seco nuestros números comenzaremos a pintarlos, yo personalmente quise pintarlos de negro porque me gusta el contraste que da con el CD, sin embargo el color es preferencia de cada persona. Si encontramos que los números tienen pequeños grumos del engrudo, podemos lijarlos suavemente un poco, así obtendremos una superficie más lisa.
Once we have our numbers completely dry we will start painting them, I personally wanted to paint them black because I like the contrast it gives with the CD, however the color is each person's preference. If we find that the numbers have small lumps of paste, we can sand them down a bit, so we get a smoother surface.
Cortamos los CD en trozos del tamaño de nuestra preferencia, teniendo mucha precaución al momento de hacer esto, un tip que te doy es introducir los CD en agua hirviendo, dejarlos 10 segundos y sacarlos, así estarán un poco más blandos al momento de cortarlos.
We cut the CDs in pieces of the size of our preference, being very careful when doing this, a tip I give you is to put the CDs in boiling water, leave them 10 seconds and take them out, so they will be a little softer when cutting them.
Ubicamos los trozos de CD en todo el número, como si armáramos un rompecabezas, y cuando estemos seguros de la ubicación de cada CD, los comenzamos a pegar con silicón.
We place the CD pieces in the whole number, as if we were putting together a puzzle, and when we are sure of the location of each CD, we start gluing them with silicon.
