The "Anti-Trend" Foundation: 5 things I’d buy again in a heartbeat ✨
I was looking at my desk this morning and realized how much "stuff" we are told we need to be happy lately. It feels like every week there is a new "must-have" aesthetic, a new color palette, or a new gadget that is supposed to change your life. Honestly? It’s a bit much for me.

I have decided that this year, i’m sticking to my Anti-Trend Foundation. These aren't things that are viral or "aesthetic" for the sake of a photo. They are the things that actually work for me. If i lost everything tomorrow, these are the first 5 things i’d go out and repurchase because they make my day-to-day life so much smoother.
1. The perfect grid notebook.
I know everything is digital now, but i can't live without a physical notebook. there is something about the "scratch" of a pen on paper that helps me think.
2. A simple, cool-toned lip gloss.

I am officially over the heavy, 10-step makeup routines. I have switched to just one high-quality, icy pink gloss. It’s low-maintenance, it doesn't dry out my lips, and it looks good even when i’m just wearing a basic oversized t-shirt at home. it’s my "I tried, but not too hard" secret weapon.
3. The "forever" oversized blazer/upper.

If you know, you know. I don't care if it's "in" or "out" of style. A neutral, slightly oversized blazer is a life-saver. i can throw it over a dress for a nice dinner or wear it with jeans for a quick coffee run. it’s the one piece of clothing that makes me feel like i have my life together, even on my most chaotic days.
4. My battered stainless steel water bottle.

I didn't buy the trendy "cup" everyone has. I have had the same insulated steel bottle for two years. It’s covered in dents and a few stickers that are peeling off, but it keeps my water ice-cold for 24 hours. It’s reliable, it doesn't leak in my bag, and i don't have to worry about "matching" it to my outfit.
5. Wired earphones (the classic choice)

Call me old-fashioned, but i love my wired earphones. i don't have to worry about charging them, I don't lose them, and they are the ultimate "leave me alone" sign when i’m out in public. plus, i actually think the wires look kind of cute and nostalgic.
Choosing "enough" over "more"
I think as girls, we get so much pressure to always be "updating" our lives. But i’ve found so much more peace in just finding what works and sticking to it. It’s not about being a minimalist or trying to look "aesthetic" for a photo—it's just about not wanting to look like a carbon copy of everyone else on my feed.
Honestly, It feels so much better to romanticize the stuff i already own. It gives me more time to actually live my life instead of just trying to "style" it for a post. I'm just over the whole idea that we need a tutorial for everything. Or like we have to wait for someone to tell us what's cool before we can buy it.
What about you?
If you had to pick just 3 things from your life that you’d repurchase immediately if you lost them, what would they be? Are you a "forever pieces" person, or do you secretly love a good viral trend? (no judgment, i’ve been there too lol).
Let’s chat in the comments! I’m looking for more ideas on how to keep things simple this year. 🌸
