Himalayan Bulbul is a songbird living in the subcontinent. They are in a large number in Margalla Hills, Islamabad. As they are resident birds of Margalla and everywhere you see a picture of this bird when traveling into Margalla. They are very active early morning. You can track them from a distance as they have a habit to fly up and sit on top of a tree branch.
They live in large groups. They are found everywhere deep into Margalla hills, foothill area of Margalla, and even in parks of the urban area. They are also found near water ponds taking bath. If they come down to drink water other small birds also follow them.
They are found on fruit trees. I saw this bird on every birding trip in Margalla and in other parts of Pakistan. They are not very shy so usually, I have got some decent shots of this beauty. Sharing some beautiful photographs of Himalayan Bulbul taken in Kallar Kahar.
This bird is very friendly and also lives with other birds. Especially small birds feel comfortable to have Himalayan Bulbul's company. If someone has just started wildlife photography then this is a bird to start from. I also started my wildlife photography from this bird.
