Rawal Lake is an artificial lake and provides water to Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Rawal lake covers an area of 8 km. These days the monsoon season is in full swing and a lot of rain is happening. So when the water level increases in Rawal lake they open the spillways to drain water. This water creates some flooding in the lower areas of Rawalpindi. But this has also become an activity for local people to visit and see open spillways of Rawal lake.
The lower area of the spillway is a very good spot for fishing. When the spillway opens, fishermen hope to catch some good fish as Rawal lake is full of big fishes. So a lot of fishermen try their luck and place fishing nets to catch fish. This is a risky activity as if the water level suddenly increases they are at risk but still a lot of people are inside and outside of water.
I also visited Rawal lake to see the inside condition. As the weather was very pleasant so I saw some amazing scenery on Rawal lake. Many people were fishing and some families also came to enjoy the weather.
