Hussaini Suspension Bridge is the World's Most Dangerous Bridge. Hussaini Hanging Bridge is situated at Hussaini Village in Hunza Valley (Gojal, Upper Hunza). During my visit to Khunjrab I visited this place and also crossed this bridge. It was very frightening experience as this suspension bridge is very long and Hunza river is also very deep and water flow is strong. We were traveling in a group of 20 to 25 people and only 4 to 5 persons tried to cross this bridge.
Hussaini suspension bridge is hanged with six main cables from one bank to another and main scary thing is that there is massive gap between the wooden planks. This is suspension bridge so it shakes terribly when wind is strong. This bridge is the only connecting point for the people of different villages. Before this bridge, people of this area were isolated as they didn't have any roads and mostly they used mountainous paths to reach Rawalpindi.
This place is very beautiful and has some breath taking views. Mainly this is a valley surrounded by high mountains and beneath is a flowing river. If you look around you can see snow covered mountains of Karakuram range. This bridge also supplies fresh drinking water through a pipe. In extreme weather this bridge is closed.
This place has become tourist's hot spot and thousands of people visit this place every year and check their nerves. If you plan a visit to Hunza then you must visit this place. You also enjoy fresh apricot as in every house they have apricot tree. Local people are very friendly as they present local food and welcome people with open heart.
