Today was a very special day in the second-grade classroom. We came together to celebrate Valentine's Day with an activity that was not only creative but also strengthened our bonds as a class.
The kids and I got to work (literally!) and created a beautiful mural with the fingerprints of our hands. Each child stamped their palm and wrote their name, creating a collective piece of art that reflects the unity and friendship we have built together. It was beautiful to see how each fingerprint represented a part of our school community.
In addition, we shared cookies, which made the atmosphere even more festive and full of smiles. The laughter and joy were contagious, and the affection that filled the classroom was truly heartwarming.
These types of activities not only allow the children to express themselves artistically, but they also teach them the importance of friendship and love for others. I am very grateful to experience moments like this with my little ones.

Hoy fue un día muy especial en el aula de segundo grado. Nos unimos para celebrar el Día del Amor y la Amistad con una actividad que no solo fue creativa, sino que también fortaleció nuestros lazos como clase.
Los niños y yo nos pusimos manos a la obra (¡literalmente!) y realizamos un hermoso cuadro con las huellas de nuestras manos. Cada niño estampó su palma y escribió su nombre, creando una obra de arte colectiva que refleja la unidad y la amistad que hemos construido juntos. Fue hermoso ver cómo cada huella representaba una parte de nuestra comunidad escolar.
Además, compartimos galleticas, lo que hizo que el ambiente fuera aún más festivo y lleno de sonrisas. Las risas y la alegría eran contagiosas, y el cariño que se respiraba en el aula fue realmente conmovedor.
Este tipo de actividades no solo permiten a los niños expresarse artísticamente, sino que también les enseñan la importancia de la amistad y el amor hacia los demás. Estoy muy agradecida por poder vivir momentos como este con mis pequeños.
