It's a pleasure to greet you and extend my congratulations to all the strong women out there today as we celebrate International Women's Day. As a woman myself, I feel a deep connection to the strength and fighting spirit we have always possessed throughout history. Women are characterized by their vital role within the family, often as heads of households, and by assuming diverse roles in society as professionals, mothers, daughters, wives, and sisters, giving their best every day for their families, as well as in their professional and personal lives.

In my case, I come from a family of three sisters. My father and mother raised us with great love and responsibility, providing us with everything we needed until we earned our university degrees and became independent. Now, as mothers ourselves, the three of us set that same example for our children so they too can be independent and achieve all their goals.

Today I want to highlight the influence my beloved mother has had on me. She embodies timely advice when I've needed it, a healing hand that has soothed my heartache, and the joy she radiates when we're near her. Always optimistic in the face of life and its challenges, my mother encourages my sister and me to keep moving forward without giving up and to maintain faith in the goals we set for ourselves.

So today, on International Women's Day, I give thanks to the most important woman in my life, the light of the family. Even at 80 years old, she continues to look after her daughters and grandchildren and protects us just as she did when we were little. She blesses us when we arrive at her house, bakes us that sweet treat we love, and remains smiling despite the aches and pains of old age. Her attitude is always optimistic and cheerful. I love my mother and am so proud to be her daughter. I wish that God will watch over her for many more years and keep her healthy and well. Gusto en saludarlos y desearles felicitaciones a todas las mujeres luchadoras hoy que celebramos el Día Internacional de la Mujer, como parte de este género me siento muy identificada con la fuerza y espíritu de lucha que siempre hemos tenido a lo largo de la historia. Las mujeres nos caracterizamos por ser parte importante en la familia siendo muchas veces cabeza de hogar, asumiendo diversos roles en la sociedad, como profesionales, madres, hijas, esposas, hermanas, dando lo mejor de nosotras cada día por la familia, así como en el campo laboral y personal.

En mi caso provengo de una familia de tres hermanas, mi papá junto con mi madre nos criaron con mucho amor y responsabilidad previéndonos de todo lo necesario, hasta lograr nuestros títulos universitarios e independizarnos, ahora como madres que somos las tres le damos ese mismo ejemplo a los hijos para que sean independientes y logren todos sus propósitos.

Hoy quiero destacar la influencia que ha ejercido mi querida madre en mí, ya que ella representa esos consejos a tiempo cuando los he necesitado, esa mano sanadora que me aliviado algún quebranto y esa alegría que trasmite cuando estamos cerca de ella siempre optimista ante la vida y sus vicisitudes mi madre nos alienta a mi hermana y a mí a seguir adelante siempre sin rendirnos, y a mantener la fe en las metas que nos tracemos.

Por lo que hoy día de la mujer le doy las gracias a la mujer más importante de mi vida, a la luz de la familia que aun con sus 80 añitos sigue pendiente de sus hijas y nietos, y busca protegernos como cuando éramos pequeñas, ella nos da la bendición cuando llegamos a su casa, nos hace ese dulcito que nos gusta y sigue sonriente ante la vida a pesar de los achaques propios de la edad, su aptitud es siempre optimista y alegre. Me encanta mi madre y me siento muy orgullosa de ser su hija, por lo que le deseo que el Padre Creador me la cuide por muchos añitos más y la mantenga con bienestar y salud.
