Hi Hivers,
Note: Blurred my friends to protect their privacy.
I've been contemplating if I should post this or not. But I realized I should so a lot would also learn from it.
Last Monday was my first shift for August. Luckily I am still in the morning shift but an hour earlier compared to last week.
We, my officemates, we're just going about our work when suddenly our POC (point of contact) ,since of supervisors are still working at home, told us to vacate the place we are working at. Because one of our colleague was positive of Covid-19.
We we're all shock and first thing came to mind, is this real? who?
A little bit of relief though when she said it was not from one of us morning shifters but from the night shift. So it means we did not mingle with the person much.
But upon realization of who, I remembered we get to say hi and hello. When he's about to end the shift, is the start of my shift. OMG.
We vacated the place and transferred in the production floor, by the way I am a quality analyst in a call center.
However after few conversations we, who had direct contact, was told to go home.
By this time I feel blank. I'm not sure what to feel anymore. We we're told to wait for the doctor's call and if when we are allowed to go back to work.
So currently I am in quarantine until the 11th of August.
Hopefully all of us, asked to quarantine, will be healthy at the end of the period.
Lesson here is if you are feeling something, like slight cold, slight cough, slight body pain. Think more of your health not with the money you will lose if you will not go to work. What happened is that colleague has been coughing already but he still went to work.
Health should come first and you will also be saving other people.
Always follow the safety protocols:
Wear Mask
Wash hands
Social distance
Stay at home
Keep Safe
Love always,
