New York
Among the places I long to visit before I die, one that holds a very special place in my heart is New York City, the most populous city in the United States, with a pace of life that goes at a thousand hours a day. I dream of strolling through its neighborhoods in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island, seeing the imposing Statue of Liberty, experiencing the hustle and bustle of Time Square, riding the subway and, of course, taking a break in beautiful Central Park, an oasis in that concrete jungle. I wouldn't miss a visit to the 9/11 Memorial, the place where the Twin Towers stood and which many people say has incredible energy, or walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. I wouldn't miss a baseball game between the Yankees and the Mets. I would love to visit this city and eat a typical hot dog or a slice of pizza and just experience the culture of one of the most impressive cities in the world.
Entre los lugares que anhelo visitar antes de morir, uno que ocupa un lugar muy especial en mi corazón es la ciudad de Nueva York, la más poblada de los Estados Unidos, con un ritmo de vida que va a mil por horas. Sueño con pasear entre sus vecindarios el Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens y Staten Island, conocer la imponente Estatua de la Libertad, vivir el ajetreo del Time Square, montarme en el metro y por supuesto, tomar un descanso en el hermoso Central Park, un oasis dentro de esa jungla de cemento. No me perdería una visita al Memorial 11 S, el lugar donde estaban las Torres Gemelas y que muchas personas dicen que tiene una energía increíble, o caminar por el Puente de Brooklyn. No me perdería un juego de béisbol entre los Yankees y los Mets. Me encantaría visitar esta ciudad y comer un típico hot dog o un slice de pizza y simplemente vivir la cultura de una de las ciudades para mí, más impresionantes del mundo.
Venecia
Another place I definitely want and have to visit is the city of Venice, which is spread over a series of islands that emerge from a wide lagoon between the mainland and the open sea. I mainly fall in love with this city for its architecture, which is perfectly intertwined with its history. A gondola ride around the city, passing by places like the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Grand Canal, is not to be missed. In Venice they also take the carnival very seriously, it is one of the most important events of the year, in which thousands of people dress up and there is a complement that should never be missing: The Mask. And of course I wouldn't miss the exquisite Venetian gastronomy: some delicious spaghetti or pizza.
Otro de los lugares que sin duda quiero y tengo que visitar es la ciudad de Venecia que se extiende sobre una serie de islas que emergen de una amplia laguna entre la tierra firme y el mar abierto. Principalmente me enamora de esta ciudad su arquitectura, que se entremezcla perfectamente con su historia. Sería imperdible un paseo en góndola por toda la ciudad, pasando por lugares como el Palacio Ducal, el Puente de los Suspiros, el Gran Canal. En Venecia también se toman muy en serio el carnaval, es uno de los acontecimientos más importantes del año, en el cual miles de personas se disfrazan y hay un complemento que jamás debe faltar: La Máscara. Y por supuesto no me perdería por nada la exquisita gastronomía veneciana: unos ricos espaguetis o una pizza.
Chicago
Also known as the Windy City. Possibly my intention to visit this incredible city is due to the influence of some television series, the truth is that Chicago is on my list of places to visit. I would love to visit the Millennium Park, a place of art and architecture located in front of Lake Michigan, where the famous "Bean" is one of the most photographed sculptures of the place. I would love to walk through the Field Museum, a beautiful natural history museum. As in New York, in Chicago I would like to take a break in Grant Park and of course eat a famous Chicago Pizza, one of the most famous in the United States. I like that in this city you also get places like Chinatown and Little Italy, a perfect mix of cultures and as a good sports lover, I would love to go to a game at Guaranteed Rate Field, the home of the Chicago White Sox.
Conocida también como La Ciudad de los Vientos. Posiblemente mi intención de conocer esta increíble ciudad sea por la influencia de algunas series de televisión, lo cierto es que Chicago sin da está en mi lista de lugares pendientes por visitar. Conocer el Millenium Park, un lugar de arte y arquitectura ubicado frente al lago Michigan, donde se encuentra la famosa “Judía” una de las esculturas más fotografiadas del lugar. Me encantaría pasear por el Field Museum un hermoso museo de historia natural. Así como en New York, en Chicago me gustaría tomar un descanso en el Grant Park y por supuesto comerme una famosa Pizza Chicago, de las más famosas de Estados Unidos. Me gusta que en esta ciudad también consiges lugares como Chinatown y Little Italy, una mezcla perfecta de culturas y como buena amante de los deportes, me encantaría ir a un juego en el Guaranteed Rate Field, la casa de los Medias Blancas de Chicago.
Dubai
It’s the most prominent city in the United Arab Emirates, how many photos have we not seen of its architecture and beaches? It is a place that everyone should definitely know. Every part here is really imposing, the Burj Khalifa with its amazing view of Dubai, or the Dubai Safari a beautiful desert for a lot of adventure sports, plus it offers the option to ride camels, also this Palm Jumeirah, the famous artificial archipelago shaped like a palm tree, it really is fascinating all that this city has to offer to its visitors. What I like and excites me the most about this place is its futuristic and avant-garde vision, everything is state of the art. I really need to see this place before I die. I would like to visit it and of course try its exquisite gastronomy, I wouldn't miss it.
Es la ciudad más prominente en los Emiratos Árabes, ¿cuántas fotos no hemos visto de su arquitectura y de sus playas? Es un lugar que sin duda todos deberíamos conocer. Cada parte aquí es realmente imponente, el Burj Khalifa con su vista increíble de Dubai, o el Dubai Safari un hermoso desierto para un montón de deportes de aventura, además de que ofrece la opción de pasear en camellos, también esta Palm Jumeirah, el famoso archipiélago artificial con forma de palmera, realmente es fascinante todo lo que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer a sus visitantes. Lo que más me gusta y me emociona de este lugar es su visión futurista y de vanguardia, todo es de última tecnología. Realmente necesito conocer este lugar antes de morir. Me gustaría visitarlo y por supuesto probar su exquisita gastronomía, no me lo perdería.
Suiza
World famous for its cheeses and the Swiss Alps, this country that I long to visit has dreamy landscapes, worthy of fairy tales. I would love to visit Gruyères and its medieval castle, where we must not forget to taste the renowned cheese. I would also visit Bern and its Clock Tower, which was one of the entrance gates to the walled city, I would also like to visit Zurich and the Fraumünster church. There are so many things to know in Switzerland that I think it would take me about a month getting to know each town and each culture, each of the images that you can get of these cities is really beautiful and I hope to have the chance someday to meet them.
Mundialmente conocida por sus quesos y los Alpes Suizos, este país que anhelo visitar posee unos paisajes de ensueño, dignos de cuentos de hada. Me encantaría visitar Gruyères y su castillo medieval, donde no debemos olvidar probar el reconocido queso. También visitaría Berna y su Torre del Reloj, que era una de las puertas de entrada a la ciudad amurallada, también me gustaría visitar Zúrich y la iglesia de Fraumünster. Hay tantas cosas qué conocer en Suiza que creo que me tardaría como un mes conociendo cada pueblo y cada cultura, es realmente bonita cada una de las imágenes que se pueden conseguir de estas ciudades y espero tener la posibilidad algún día de conocerlos.
