Greetings, Fellow Art And Value Seekers!
A couple of days ago, I mentioned in a short Actifit report my presence at the opening of an old friend's oil painting exhibition in our hometown's gallery. And here I come with a small selection of photos that I would find appropriate to share on the nets.
Would you agree with my strange choice of making them Black and White so that the true colors of the paintings remain a mystery?
The English equivalent of my old buddy's name would be Eugene. He's a self-taught artist as he is a self-taught a lot of other creative things. A former singer, dancer, poet, chess player, guitar player, fellow photographer, etc. Certainly, a drive to create, there.
Apart from local sights in his paintings, the other inspirations came from simple, life-related, aspects of nature.
That clock tower would often appear in his works. Being a favorite symbol of local legacy, it sells often, too.
I'd say, he knows how to please folks from around town. Making affordable, nice mood bringing stuff.
With a pinch of pushing his own topics and observations of life, of course.
Ah, the reality of the onlines...not always ticking as clocks, and I guess that shall always remain normal. Oh, wait, clocks don't always tick as clocks. It's the way it is.
Let me see if any more image would like to successfully load, or if I should kill it here.
Speaking of clocks...
Great success! We're online.
A few words in between to grease the gears, perhaps...
I think I am still considering this piece of art for myself. Should I...?
Time.
Shall tell.
We went to a restaurant together, after the event, and I think I was successful in a small Inception, planting an idea about another painting by straightforwardly discussing it but saying I was not sure who would paint it first, him or myself...
Myself being...quite behind on the mastery needed.
Time...
...shall tell.
Peace!
