I took my daughter to one of the ice halls today. The figure skating club is continuing its activities normally again. There was no activity during the Covid-19 restrictions in the spring. They did have some measures in place at the club, though. No parents were allowed into the changing rooms to keep the rooms less crowded. The cafeteria was open and you could watch your kids skate from there.
The R0 number is currently at about 1.2 to 1.3. That means that the average infected person infects that many others. But because the overall number of infected people is very low and a large proportion of new transmissions took place overseas that number may be somewhat exaggerated. The number of new cases per week has remained constant in the last three weeks after a resurgence of new cases when the holidays ended in the beginning of August.
I didn't spend the whole time in the cafeteria but took these train shots:
Another very long freight train
That's the Z train to Helsinki which is an hour away from here.
That's an advertisement for pediatric clinic called Pikkujätti. "Barn- och ungdomsläkarstation" is Swedish and means a clinic for children and youth.
Evidence for a timber train having been loaded here.
