Por otra parte, me gusta siempre mostrar mi nombre y aunque “Mary” sea un nombre sumamente popular a mí me agrada bastante…es sencillo, bonito y fácil de recordar.
Detrás del nombre de mi blog no se oculta una historia tan sorprendente como te podrás imaginar, se trata de mi nombre Mary y las iniciales de mi segundo nombre y primer apellido. Al comienzo iba también a incluir la inicial de mi segundo apellido, pero no recuerdo exactamente qué fue lo que ocurrió en ese momento para que la letra “Q” no fuese considerada…pero creo que así está mejor, ahora pienso que si hubiese incluido esa última letra mi nombre de usuario no luciría tan bonito y creo que fuese algo confuso al momento de pronunciar.
Me da un poco de gracia el hecho de que a algunas personas se les hace complicado pronunciar “maryed”, muchos me han preguntado cómo sería la forma correcta de decirlo y sólo me limito a decir que se pronuncia tal cual como está escrito. Otra de las cosas chistosas es que el Traductor de Google siempre lo traduce como “casado” por su casi similitud a la traducción de esta palabra en Inglés.
Creo que hasta este momento no había considerado lo importante que es un nombre de usuario. Pienso que va mucho más allá de ser aquello que distingue a un usuario de otro…es como tu pequeña marca personal. Tampoco me había detenido a pensar lo mucho que me gusta mi nombre de blog, hasta hace poco yo lo pronunciaba con las letras “e” y “d” por separado (Mary-e-d)…pero ahora me gusta mucho cómo suena al decirlo todo junto, sin incluir el “Mary” y las dos letras por separado.
