¿En qué consiste la carrera?
Soy Profesora Especialista en Educación Especial, actualmente me encuentro activa en el Sistema Educativo venezolano, hablar de esta carrera a veces suele ser un poco confuso especialmente si estas con personas que no conocen realmente el significado.
Educación Especial, es una modalidad de la Educación Básica que ofrece atención pedagógica especializada a escolares con necesidades educativas especiales, discapacidad o dificultades en su ritmo de aprendizaje. En mi caso, trabajo con el servicio de Aula integrada cuya función es brindar estrategias pedagógicas a los estudiantes, padres y docentes que favorezcan el proceso de aprendizaje dentro del contexto escolar y familiar, tomando en cuenta su potencialidad, fortalezas y estado emocional.
De igual manera, he trabajado con el abordaje pedagógico e individualizado con estudiantes autistas, deficiencia auditiva y visual, el compromiso cada vez es mayor.
¿Siempre llamó tu atención?
¡No! Siempre quise estudiar otra carrera, nada relacionado a educación. Mi curiosidad comenzó a surgir cuando presencie el trabajo que hacia mi hermana mayor que también pertenece a la modalidad, es una carrera que te reafirma la calidad humana, el amor al prójimo y a confiar más allá de las dificultades que se te presentan en la vida.
Si hubieras estudiado lo que querías de niño, ¿Qué sería?
Seria Medico, llamaba poderosamente mi atención, lamentablemente no pude hacerlo porque al momento de egresar del bachillerato mi mamá tuvo recaídas de salud bastante fuerte y las universidades están en otro estado lo que implicaba gastos de residencias y transporte. Por allí dicen que nunca es tarde.
¿Alguien cercano a ti estudia la carrera?
¡Sí! Mi hermana mayor, mi gemela y yo somos de la misma especialidad. Ha sido un aprendizaje constante, contar con su apoyo en cuanto al conocimiento de la carrera, en todo momento estamos en comunicación y aunque ya ellas no están activas siempre están prestas ante cualquier solicitud que yo necesite.
¿Tus padres te apoyan?
¡Sí! Ingrese a la primera universidad siendo muy joven y no era publica, mi papá costeaba las exorbitantes mensualidades, realmente fue un apoyo incondicional de mis padres, ya después de obtener el T.S.U me costeaba cada universidad hasta la especialización y diplomados.

I am a Teacher Specialist in Special Education, I am currently active in the Venezuelan Educational System, talking about this career sometimes tends to be a little confusing especially if you are with people who do not really know the meaning.
Special Education is a modality of Basic Education that offers specialized pedagogical attention to students with special educational needs, disabilities or difficulties in their learning pace. In my case, I work with the Integrated Classroom service whose function is to provide pedagogical strategies to students, parents and teachers that favor the learning process within the school and family context, taking into account their potential, strengths and emotional state.
Similarly, I have worked with the pedagogical and individualized approach with autistic students, hearing impaired and visually impaired, the commitment is growing.

Did it always caught your attention?
No! I always wanted to study another career, nothing related to education. My curiosity began to emerge when I witnessed the work that my older sister who also belongs to the modality did, it is a career that reaffirms the human quality, love for others and to trust beyond the difficulties that come your way in life.
If you had studied what you wanted as a child, what would you be?
?
I would be a doctor, it called my attention powerfully, unfortunately I could not do it because at the time of graduating from high school my mother had health relapses quite strong and universities are in another state which involved expenses of residences and transportation. Over there they say that it is never too late.
Is anyone close to you studying the career?
Yes!
Yes! My older sister, my twin and I are all in the same major. It has been a constant learning, having their support in terms of knowledge of the career, at all times we are in communication and although they are no longer active they are always ready for any request I need.
Do your parents support you?
Yes! I entered my first university when I was very young and it was not public, my dad paid for the exorbitant monthly fees, it was really an unconditional support from my parents, and after obtaining the T.S.U. he paid for each university until the specialization and diploma courses.
