Hello dear Hivers! This time I share with you a little walk through one of the most beautiful and emblematic parks of my city, full of history and natural beauty; get ready for the trip and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest!
Saint Felipe The Fort Historical Archaeological Park is located in the capital of the state of Yaracuy. It is a recreational site where you can not only disconnect from the world, but also learn about history, since it contains part of the infrastructure of the ancient city that remained standing after the earthquake of March 26 1812.
It was declared a recreational park on March 7, 1974, and was placed under the custody of Inparques, an entity attached to the former Minamb (Ministry of Environment) now known as Minea (Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism and Water).
The researcher Mauro Paez was in charge of recovering and reconditioning the infrastructure, assigned to this task by the current president Rafael Caldera, achieving an excellent result. Archeologists and anthropologists participated in the recovery work and found a great variety of objects and even human remains.
Throughout the year, a large number of activities are carried out with the participation of environmental groups, scouts, ONG, governmental entities and educational centers of all levels in order to maintain and continue preserving the beauty of this park.
Maybe you are thinking where is the historical part, don't worry, soon I will share with you the little piece of history that keeps this wonderful place where you can spend a day enjoying the scenery, learning about what happened there or better yet, do both.
¡San Felipe el fuerte te espera con todo su esplendor!
Saint Felipe The Fort awaits you in all its splendor!
