But besides that, it is a city that smells of history. The most striking places are the rocks. They are called King Rock Tombs. And those rocks have gates. These gates are the entrances of giant palaces carved into the rocks.
The people who settled here in the Pontus period to observe the valley from a high point and to be safe, built these huge burial chambers. If you want to visit the rocks and take photos, it's free to go. It used to be climbing stone stairs. It was also very difficult to get out. Now of course they have made stairs that are easier and safer.
Let me talk about their museums. It has a very famous museum. If you say why it is famous, I will tell you now. Inside the museum, there are very old historical clothes, money, tools, but that is not why it is famous. Mummies are the reason they are famous. Yes, you did not read it wrong. Mummy. Real mummies from the museum are on display.
Let's come to the legend sake, which is another feature of Amasya. The great love of Ferhat and Şirin. I would like to tell that too, but it would be too long. In short, the story of not being able to come together. It's a bitter love. According to the rumor, he drills these rocks in Amasya and extracts water to meet with Ferhat Şirin. But again, they are prevented from meeting. He thinks Ferhat Şirin is dead and throws him off these cliffs. Actually, Şirin, who is not dead, kills herself when she hears that Ferhat is dead. I said it was a sad love story. 😌

The reason why Amasya is called the city of princes is that during the Ottoman period, the princes of the period lived and completed their education in this city and ascended to the throne. Since many princes live here, it is called the city of princes.

Merhabalar. 😎 Size güzel bir şehirden bahsedeceğim. 😍Şehzadeler Şehri Amasya. Daha önce gittiniz mi? Yada daha önce gördünüz mü?
Amasya çok güzel bir şehir. Ama bunun yanı sıra tarih kokan bir şehir. En dikkat çeken yerleri kayalıkları. Kral Kaya Mezarları deniliyor onlara. Ve o kayalıkların kapıları var. Bu kapılar kayalara oyulmuş dev sarayların giriş yerleri. Pontus döneminde yüksek bir noktadan vadiyi gözlemek ve güvende olmak için buraya yerleşmiş olan insanlar, bu dev mezar odalarını inşa etmişler.
Kayalıkları gezmek ve fotoğraf çekinmek isterseniz gitmak sertbest. Taştan merdivenlerle çıkılıyordu eskiden. Çıkarken de çok zorlanılıyordu. Şimdi tabi daha kolay ve güvenilir olan merdivenler yapmışlar.
Hemen bir de müzelerinden bahsedeyim. Çok meşhur bir müzesi var. Neden meşhur derseniz şimdi anlatacağım. Müzenin içinde çok eskiden kalma tarihi kıyafetler, paralar, araç gereçler var fakat meşhur olmasının sebebi bu değil. Meşhur olmasının sebebi mumyalar.
Evet yanlış okumadınız. Mumya. Müzeden gerçek mumyalar sergileniyor.
Gelelim Amasyanın bir diğer özelliği olan efsane aşkına. Ferhat ile Şirin'in büyük aşkı. Onu da anlatmak isterdim ama çok uzun olur. Kısaca kavuşamama hikayesi. Acı bir aşk. Ferhat Şirin ile kavuşmak için Amasya'da bulunan bu kayaları delip su çıkarıyor rivayete göre. Ama yine kavuşmaları engelleniyor. Ferhat Şirin'i öldü sanıp kendi bu kayalıklardan atıyor. Aslında ölmemiş olan Şirin ise Ferhat'ın öldüğünü duyunca o da kendini öldürüyor. Üzücü bir aşk hikayesi demiştim. 😌

Amasya'ya şehzadeler şehri denilmesinin sebebi Osmanlı devleti zamanında dönemin şehzadeleri bu şehirde yaşayıp eğitimlerini bu şehirde tamamladıktan sonra tahta çıkarlarmış. Birçok şehzade burada yaşadığı için şehzadeler şehri denilmiş.
Amasya'da ırmak kenarında çok hoş eski tür evler bulunuyor. Masal diyarına benziyor. Bu evlerin bazıları cafe olarak çalışıyor. Oralarda Amasya manzarasını seyderken çayınızı yudumlayabiliyorsunuz.
Amasya ile ilgili anlatılacak daha çok şey var aslında. Ama şimdilik bu kadar. Çok huzurlu bir yer. Tarihi yerleriyle, müzeleriyle, hamamlarıyla Türkiye'nin en güzel şehirlerinden.
