Hello Hivers! It's yet another moment to share heartfelt thoughts with you through this contest. Here, I am considering the role of my mother in whom I have turned out to be. This is in commemoration of 2021 MOTHERS' DAY.
WHO IS A MOTHER?
A mother is a woman who gave birth to you. You can also call someone your mother if she brings you up as if she was this woman. You can call your mother 'Mother'. Collins Dictionary
A mother is however the one who either gave birth to you and nurture through the different stages of life or a woman who acted the role of a mother while bringing you up.
To celebrate this year's Mother's Day, I will like to show you through the following paragraphs the role of a mother in bringing up a child.
"God could not be everywhere and that is why he created mothers"

The primary role of a mother over the child begins at conception. She tends to understand the reaction of the foetus in the womb and acts in care while protecting the fetus (child). When a child is born, the mother knows by instinct when the child is sickly. In a nutshell, she is a healthcare provider.
Counselor: to say a mother is a counselor is an understatement because she does this throughout life even when the supposed child has turned into an adult. Our broken spirits each time we fail tests at school are mended by our mothers. The comfort and advise us as much as circumstances arise.
Laundry: when I consider how much attention is given to laundry at home, I remember how hardworking a mother had been. From the washing of napkins to other clothes through the ages.
Housekeeper: mother had to clean the home and remove all kinds of messes from the living room to the kitchen and the bathroom or toilet. It's indeed a great task to be a mother, isn't it?
Conflict resolution: mothers are gifted mediators in times of disagreement with friends. They play an active role in ensuring we have good rapport with our neighbours and sometimes help to break relationships that may affect our wellbeing. She would always warn:
"Evil communication corrupts good manners"
Chef: the best chef for me in the world are mothers. When the recipe isn't enough, they find solution and ensure the meal comes out very nice. When there was scarcity of food due to poor income, mother knows how to make a combination that turns out to be a good meal.
Our mothers, having done these functions in our lives could be seen as our idols. My mother is my idol.
