Hello good day guys, am good hope you are too. so yesterday the 20th day of October 2021 was marked as a memorial day to comemorate those innocent Nigerians killed with by the hands of it's Government. So sad this very day will never be forgotten so fast in the history of nigeria.
It was like a nightmare but yes it did happened real. On the 20th October sometime last year peaceful Nigerians went out to say thier mind to the leaders in union instead of our leaders to sit down and listen to our pleas no. They rather sent hoodlum police to scatter and kill the innocent un armed citizens.
What annoyed me the most is, after the protest last year and the deaths recorded our leaders payed deaf ears and still allowed the so called force to operate across the country. And this time around they did more bad things they invaded homes of young people arrested and detained them they also arrested young boys that keep dreadlocks saying they are criminals.
I was a victim of thier harrasment this year. I was on my way to work one faithful morning when they stopped the tricycle I was In. I was asked to come out lift up my hands and close my eyes. I was wondering what they where about doing. I begin to fear thinking they will beat me up the way they beat up other people 😁. They collected my phone took it to their car parked at the corner of the road.
They came back I was still standing eyes closed they searched my four pocket. They handed me my phone and I was asked to go, do many of my friends or young Nigerians have been victim of thier brutality. After the first protest they never stop thier bad ways.
Yesterday citizens of Nigeria while on a peaceful memorial where arrested some manhandled and taken to the station. After all this I sit to ask myself of this country is really going anywhere or we are just going in circles 🤔. Some weeks ago I was asked a question in a community here in steemit about where I see my country in ten years from now and believe me I actually got nothing to say because as it is now we might wake up tomorrow and see our dear country sinking deep into the oceans.
I pray it will never happened like that. When are we as a nation ever gonna vote for the right candidate and never regret it? I leave everything I the hands of the almighty God. Feel free to drop your comments on the comments section of this post share your thoughts on this matter.
