Hey fellow Hivers!
I’m here to talk about the sunset—wow. Like im not even kidding when I say it hits different every single night. The sky just explodes into these warm squishy hues of orange pink and gold and it’s like the sun’s giving us a big sloppy kiss goodbye before heading home.
Last night i was chilling by the river (you know the one with those tall coconut trees lining the banks) and the sun’s reflection was dancing on the water like it was doing a little happy jig. The clouds? They went from fluffy white to soft cotton candy pink then to this deep cozy orange that makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket.
And over by the beach side the sun was peeking through the clouds like a shy kid hiding behind a curtain—those sunbeams? Chef’s kiss. They shot straight up into the sky making the whole horizon look like it was on fire (in the best way possible).
Even the little details make me smile the way the sun hits the palm fronds making them glow green and gold the way the rooftops of the nearby huts turn golden the way the mountains in the distance look all soft and hazy. It’s not just a sunset it’s a whole vibe.
Like if you are having a bad day just step outside and watch this guaranteed to make your shoulders drop and your heart feel lighter. I’m so grateful to live in a place where nature serves up this kind of magic every single evening. It’s free, it’s raw and it’s ours.
The way the air gets all cool and fresh right after smells like wet earth and blooming frangipani makes me want to just sit there forever. Sometimes I bring my phone to take photos but no picture ever does it justice. The real thing is so much brighter so much more alive.
My friend texted me earlier saying she’s having a tough week and i just told her “Find a spot to watch the sunset. Trust me, it will make everything feel a little lighter.” That’s the thing about sunsets they are universal. No matter where you are, they remind you that days end nights reset and tomorrow’s a fresh start.
What’s your go to sunset spot? Let me know i need to explore more of these glowing skies!
