Benefits of Turmeric

It has been a long time ago that I never participated in your contest and I hope this is not too late.

When I found about the theme, I rushed my job quickly to write what I benefited from turmeric.

This is a turmeric powder we always used for cooking many kinds of recipes and even curing my hypertension.

There was a time that I got high blood pressure. I didn't want to drink medicine. I was so afraid of having any medicine to take every day. I was looking for some herbs and other alternatives from plants as natural medicine. It worked quickly controlled my previous high blood pressure. My daily headache was gone.

After one week, I also stop drinking this turmeric. Over quantity of our intake will lead to very low blood pressure. But I'm maintaining it with the food I eat. I sprinkle a little amount to my food two times a day.

Another benefit

When I have sprained ankle and bone have pain, I also drink water with turmeric. Then if I have a major injury, I made a paste using turmeric powder, salt, and little amount of water. I covered the injury with turmeric paste and keep it until dry to the affected area.

This time, every food I cooked, turmeric is one of those spices I used.

In my country, we have a lot of turmeric plant but we never know how to use it. I learned all the turmeric benefits when I came here in Saudi Arabia.
