Buenos días amigos de HIVE, un gusto tener la oportunidad de dirigirme a esta grandiosa comunidad y hacer mi presentación para así poder darme a conocer y contar con el apoyo de todos ustedes para emprender esta nueva faceta dentro de esta maravillosa plataforma.

Good morning friends of HIVE, a pleasure to have the opportunity to address this great community and make my presentation so that I can make myself known and count on the support of all of you to undertake this new facet within this wonderful platform.

Me llamo Omar Gustavo Rojas Ortiz y les cuento un poco acerca de mi vida: naci en la ciudad de Tucupita capital estado Delta Amacuro, Venezuela, el 25 septiembre de 1952. Mis padres nacidos a mucha honra en este mismo estado, pero en la Población de Curiapo a siete horas de distancia en lancha (en curiara para aquel entonces) de la capital del estado. Honrosamente somos descendientes de población de Indígenas Warao.

My name is Omar Gustavo Rojas Ortiz and I will tell you a little about my life: I was born in the city of Tucupita, capital of Delta Amacuro state, Venezuela, on September 25, 1952. My parents were born with great honor in this same state, but in the town of Curiapo seven hours away by boat (in a curiara at that time) from the state capital. We are honorably descendants of the Warao Indigenous population.

Mis padres, buscando un mejor futuro para mi familia, a mis 8 años, en 1960 nos residenciamos en la ciudad de Maturín, estado Monagas; donde estudié Primaria, Bachillerato y en la Universidad me gradué como Docente, egresando con 25 años (1977) cómo Profesor de Educación Media en la Especialidad de Agropecuaria Mención Fitotecnia (Ciencia encargada del estudio de las plantas). un años después de graduado, con tan solo 26 años ocupé mi primer gran desafío profesional: Director del Liceo "Salvador Córdoba" en la Península de Araya, en el estado Sucre. Desde ese entonces, junto a mi querida esposa Nancy Garantón de Rojas quien también es profesora (en Ciencias Sociales), nos residenciamos en Cumaná, capital del Estado Sucre, teniendo que viajar constantemene hasta Araya por la responsabilidad de mi cargo. Nancy fué y es pilar fundamental para alcanzar mi metas, siempre a mi lado, es un pieza principal en mi vida. Desde ese entonces nuestra prioridad era formar una familia con los principios y valores que nuestros padres nos inculcaron y haríamos todo lo necesario para hacer de nuestros futuros hijos hombres de bien; y así fue, tenemos tres grandiosos hijos, a quienes le dimos nuestro amor, cariño y sobre todo acompañamiento en todo momento para hacerlos quienes son ahora, siendo lo más importante de todo, que ellos con su cariño y amor hacia nosotros, demostrándolo cada día, nos hacen parte de sus familias y esa es nuestra mayor recompensa.

My parents, looking for a better future for my family, at the age of 8, in 1960 we resided in the city of Maturín, Monagas state; where I studied Primary, Baccalaureate and at the University I graduated as a Teacher, graduating with 25 years (1977) as Professor of Secondary Education in the Specialty of Agriculture Phytotechnical Mention (Science in charge of the study of plants). A year after graduating, at only 26 years old, I took up my first great professional challenge: Director of the "Salvador Córdoba" Lyceum in the Araya Peninsula, in Sucre state. Since then, together with my dear wife Nancy Garantón de Rojas who is also a professor (in Social Sciences), we have resided in Cumaná, capital of the Sucre State, having to travel constantly to Araya due to the responsibility of my position. Nancy was and is a fundamental pillar to achieve my goals, always by my side, she is a main piece in my life. Since then our priority was to form a family with the principles and values that our parents instilled in us and we would do everything necessary to make our future children good men; And so it was, we have three great children, to whom we gave our love, affection and, above all, accompaniment at all times to make them who they are now, being the most important of all, that they with their affection and love towards us, showing it every day They make us part of their families and that is our greatest reward.

Mis hijos: Omar Gustavo (46 años), Profesor; Franklin Andrés (42 años), Abogado y Alejandro Alberto (38 años), Ingeniero. Cada uno ya han formado sus propias familias, que mejor como padres verlos felices y sentir que nuestra cosecha ha generado su fruto: personas y hombres de bien para la sociedad.

My children: Omar Gustavo (46 years old), teacher; Franklin Andrés (42 years old), Lawyer and Alejandro Alberto (38 years old), Engineer. Each one has already formed their own families, and it would be better as parents to see them happy and feel that our harvest has generated its fruit: people and men of good for society.

Orgulloso de mi familia, de mi esposa, de mis hijos. Les comparto un poco de mi vida familiar y ahora quiero contarles sobre una pasión que siempre he tenido: trabajar en el mundo de la actuación.

Proud of my family, my wife, my children. I share with you a bit of my family life and now I want to tell you about a passion that I have always had: working in the world of acting.

Pues si, si bien es cierto soy profesional de la docencia, para aquel entonces mis padres no contaban con los recursos económicos para emprender esta pasión, luego el tiempo y por los cosas de la vida no lo pude hacer. Es a partir de un par de años atrás, a mis 65 años de edad pude hacer mi sueño realidad, trabajar como extra y actor en comerciales televisivos y algunas producciones venezolanas. Aquí el dicho “nunca es tarde para empezar”, les aseguro que es cierto!.

Well yes, although it is true I am a teaching professional, at that time my parents did not have the financial resources to undertake this passion, then time and for the things of life I could not do it. It is from a couple of years ago, at 65 years of age I was able to make my dream come true, working as an extra and an actor in television commercials and some Venezuelan productions. Here the saying "it is never too late to start", I assure you is true!
