Greetings friends and friends, I share with you a plastic proposal made with recycled materials, as part of my degree work to opt for my Bachelor of Visual Arts degree, which is linked to the three-dimensional representation of forms associated with graffiti and that I have been developing for a few years. In that sense, the wonderful thing about this experience was working with various materials that we usually find in public spaces, which were used to transform two-dimensional figures and then turn them into three-dimensional figures.
Saludos amigas y amigos, comparto con ustedes una propuesta plástica realizada con materiales de reciclaje, como parte de mi trabajo de grado para optar a mi título de Licenciado en artes visuales, que se vincula a la representación tridimensional de formas asociadas al graffitti y que he venido desarrollando desde hace unos años. En ese sentido, lo maravilloso de esta experiencia fue trabajar con diversos materiales que habitualmente encontramos en los espacios públicos, que se utilizaron para transformar las figuras bidimensionales para luego convertirlas en figuras tridimensionales.
For its part, I made 11 pieces of corrugated cardboard, which I located in Square Wohnsiedler - Barquisimeto, Venezuela. In this way, this composition represented a visual game for the viewer because the pieces were placed in different areas of the square, providing interaction, dynamism and movement in their journey. In this way, the pieces were represented with measures of 100 cm high by 80 cm wide with a volume of 45 centimeters, with cursive and inclined shapes to establish formal features of "Wild Style Graffiti" through the representation of arrows.
Por su parte, realicé 11 piezas de cartón corrugado, que ubiqué en la Plaza Wohnsiedler -Barquisimeto, Venezuela . De esa manera, esta composición representó un juego visual al espectador porque las piezas se colocaron en diversas áreas de la plaza, proporcionando interacción, dinamismo y movimiento en su recorrido. De esa manera, las piezas se representaron con medidas de 100 cm de alto por 80 cm de ancho con un volumen de 45 centímetros, con formas cursivas e inclinadas para que establecieran rasgos formales del “Wild Style Graffiti” a través de la representación de flechas.
In that sense, it is important to explain to them that the surface of the sculpture is wavy, a product of the micro corrugated cardboard that I used as a support to cover the entire piece. Likewise, the color that I applied is yellow as it helps to highlight the piece and it is a tone that is commonly used in the city to attract the attention of something. Therefore, the materials I used were cardboard boxes, glue, exact, pencils, bond paper for stencils, brushes, rubber paint.
En ese sentido, es importante explicarles que la superficie de la escultura es ondulada producto del cartón micro corrugado que utilicé como soporte para cubrir toda la pieza. Así mismo, el color que apliqué es amarillo ya que ayuda a resaltar la pieza y es un tono que comúnmente se utiliza en la ciudad para llamar la atención de algo. Por ello, los materiales que utilicé fueron, cajas de cartón, pegamento, exacto, lápices, papel bond para plantillas, brochas, pintura de caucho.
