Hello people of Hive! 👋👋👋
So I am Peter, peeterx is just a random pseudo name I love using, I can't say that the name has a meaning other than being a simple combination of letters. I am a sophomore taking a Bsc in Computer Science, I mean I was supposed to be done with my sophomore year two months ago but with everything having changed with the current happenings I am yet to take my final exams for the year so still a sophomore.
So a little bit about me. I love Philosophy, Design, Writing, and of course Programming. Though at first programming was proving to be tough, I mean it is still tough but with dedication and repetition, things do make sense in the long run. My hobbies include Photography and Drawing. I also love having deep conversations with my small group of friends, where we just talk about anything and everything random.
I find the understanding the logic behind technology and how computers get things done quite intriguing. Basic principles in Object-Oriented Programming have led to all this cool stuff. They enable decentralized systems such as Hive to exist, and yeah even though it a tough field to navigate, the extensive learning makes it worthwhile, especially for those of us who find the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom a more meaningful life to lead
In my free time I indulge in some ancient writings; from the Ancient Greeks to great philosophers such as the 19th century Friedrich Nietzsche and 20th-century psychologist Carl Jung. Their works are a great influence on who I am and my views and perspective. Mind you I don't indulge in Philosophy because I have time to kill and love having my head lost in the clouds but rather I find it a great source of wisdom, after all unlike modern philosophers who are "artists of reason", ancient philosophers were "artists of life".

Philosophy to me has been a way of instigating a transformation of the self and a new way of seeing the world, also a guide towards becoming an autonomous individual, meaning an individual who is a “law unto himself”. More of that in my later updates.
Hoping that Hive remains a decentralized system unlike the previous platform which changed so suddenly, it will be a great opportunity to explore, create connections with y'all people who are already aboard the train, get a chance to read great content and also satiate my never-ending hunger for great art, from the numerous creatives already in the platform.
I will be sharing more on my readings, advice on how maybe to lead more meaningful lives, citing quotes from the ancient philosophers and great minds, with the hopes of maybe along the way I might help someone choose a new way of life, the way of the philosopher, no matter how lonely it gets sometimes. Also, I will share some art but that will be sometimes in the future, at the moment I will be focusing on my writing more than the creative side, yeah I love drawing and photography when not indulging ancient writings. Art is a great way of overcoming Nihilism I have learned.
To me, Hive is the perfect platform to explore oneself, and one's capabilities while getting feedback from the vast majority of communities present. It is also the opportunity to share whatever one loves doing without the fear of judgment, it is the perfect platform for all, one is creative or not. It is accommodating to all. Which makes it the best.
I can't wait to see how the journey turns out. Happiness to me is not in the success of accomplishing something but rather it is in enjoying the journey towards whatever the goal is. The journey presents one with a vast array of learning opportunities with the ever-present problems and challenges one faces.
Looking forward to the new connections, new learning opportunities and overall enjoying the ride, whatever the end result, to me the journey represents everything.
Feels amazing being here.
So yeah there goes my introduction.
See you on my next update.
Remember to Stay Safe. Peace! ✌️
