At this point, everyone around has gotten to know that I am that kind of farmer who rear birds for only the festive periods. I rear birds all through and through out the year. It's what I wanted to do before the festive period and ain't stopping there so to say. I don't belong to those farmers who are per time farmers, maybe those who rear birds for the festive period. My own kind of livestock farmer is a full time farmer. This is all I do and I am proud doing it. It is means of survival.
Though I have some farmers who take this as per time business, even some built almost #90,000($219) worth of pen but only for rearing birds for the festive period alone. Kept asking myself, does that amount spent on the pen really a business that should be run annually,I mean once in a year?
WHAT'S NEXT AS FESTIVE PERIOD IS OVER?
Since the festive soeason is over, all what I need is continuity. I am not stopping, I have already draw my plan for this year, supply few dressed chickens to the frozen business people and run rest on frozen myself.
Presently,order for live Chickens are still coming in for my big birds. Presently, I still have 23 of them still available for my own frozen business. Like I am not selling any live Chickens presently,selling only on frozen now till when my already 2 weeks birds are up for sales. So, by my calculation, in the next 4weeks another should be ready dressed and frozen.
