Literally, since 3 days now I have involved myself in some hectic works in my poultry farm, most especially the big poultry pen. As I have updated yesterday knowingfully well that I have moved my remaining big birds to a room apartment. So the thing is I need to do some renovations before my small inside my new Brooder pen can move to the big poultry pen considering that they have been occupying space in the new brooder pen. After I have moved them to the big pen. The bigger birds will move to the new small brooder pen before they are going to be sold. I have fe of them now. Yesterday I made some cleanings. I have scheduled today for patching of some holes on floor of the poultry pen that the bigger birds pecked with their beaks.
THINGS I USED
- CEMENT
- HAND TROWEL
- LONG SHOVEL
- BUCKET
- WATER
- SHARP SAND
- LOAMY SOIL
- MYSELF.
MIXING PROCESS.
First of all, I was able to get sharp sand which is very common in my environment plus loamy soil which is black in nature. Mixed both together and then spread the dangote cement product on it and mixed. After I mixed it. I then poured water inside the mixed sands with cement and mixed together with the long shovel.

PATCHING PROCESS.
As I have said, the purpose of doing this is to fill up where the bigger birds have damaged. If this holes are not filled, dangerous ant might be coming out of these holes and it might cause some damages on the birds.
The only place I really worked on is the entrance of the poultry pen, the step has gone down to the extent that things can pass through this space and enter the poultry pen. I have to add little bit of mixed cement so that the step can fill up up to the downside of the door entrance.
SOME OF THE PATCHED SPACES.
I have to wait for a day or two I can move the smaller birds in if not, the smaller birds will do the same thing the bigger birds did. So the place must get dried before any further step can be taken.
