Lately, I have some difficulties with my new birds that were just done with the brooder pen. I have observed a lot of things, with a lot of difficulties taking care of the birds. With my last experience with the bigger, I mean the mortality rate case. So this time around I don't want to take any risk whatsoever. So I want to take spendb my time taking care of this set of birds. But there is a challenge I found so discomfort, unbearable and time wasting. It's this issue between the litter materials and the drinkers of my birds. I observed this set of birds are a bit playful and rough. During the day time, you will see them playing with the litter materials, by doing that they spread the saw dust into the drinkers base space where they can access to drink the water. Ooh! Yeah, it blocked with litter materials (sawdust)

THE EQUIPMENTS I USED.

STEP 1.

The first thing I did was, already have 1 by 12 flat planks, like 6 of 12 of them remaining used from my brooder pen construction. So I used saw to cut them into sizes that match the base of the birds drinkers.

STEP 2

After I cut them into sizes,I used nails and hammer to nail the sized planks on the flat based ones, so that it can be raised above the floor level, such even when the birds are playing with saw dust it won't into the drinkers base space that supply water to birds.

I was able to 4 sets, that can contain like 8 drinkers, because as the birds are growing up, they consume more water.
