I always look forward to the Yuletide season every year. After all the hustle, bustle and stress of the year, the festive period is always a moment of fun, enjoyment and happiness.
We value the bond of family a lot in Nigeria. During Christmas, I was able to meet many of my cousins that we haven't seen for years. They have all grown older and were super excited to see me.
There were varieties of special delicacies, drinks and food. We shared food with relatives, friends and neighbours.
We also shared gifts with others and gave to the needy.
However what made the Christmas season fun was not the food, drinks or pictures. It was the love of family, the cheerful feeling of being with people who accept and cherish you despite your flaws. That, in my opinion, is worth more than gold.
How did you celebrate Christmas in your part of the world?
