Eating my local food on a Monday morning brings me so much joy and satisfaction. I am someone who loves eating food, most especially eba and vegetable soup.
Eba and vegetable soup is not just a delicious meal but a very nutritious meal that is rich in different minerals the body needs.
The Vegetable soup is primarily made up of pumpkin leaf, water leaf, stock fish, palm oil, crayfish and other ingredients. These five ingredients alone are very rich in different vitamins that is nutritional for the body.
So, yesterday I travelled to my friend’s house, on reaching there in the afternoon, I branched the food park over there and bought a plate of rice and pepper soup.
The rice and pepper soup is what I ate and it was very delicious. This pepper soup was filled with lots of beef meat too which I chewed to my satisfaction.
After eating, I headed to my friend’s home where I was informed that they cooked this delicious vegetable soup which we call “edikaikong” in my local dialect.
My stomach was very full, so I couldn't eat the soup yesterday and decided that I will eat a lot of it the next morning with eba also known as garri in my place.
I slept like a log of wood simply because I was very tired of the rice and pepper soup I ate at the food park and woke up this morning feeling very energetic.
I stepped into the kitchen, removed the soup from the refrigerator, warmed the soup and dished into a plate. I started gulping one ball to another untill I finished eating everything.
This food refreshed my soul and made me look this happy. I believe I will be smiling throughout my day because I have eaten one of my favourite meals.
