Hello to everyone! I am Yusuf and today I will share a book analysis with you. It's been a few years since I read this book. But I reread this analysis to write it. A book that I have bought and read with great enthusiasm. But unfortunately, I am not very satisfied with this book after reading it.
I noticed that the analysis I wrote last time was a bit complicated and lengthy. I hope I don't make the same mistake this time. This time I will comment on the book in more general terms.
Before proceeding with the book analysis, I would like to give a brief overview of who Amy Winehouse is. Amy Winehouse is a British singer and songwriter. She has achieved many successes in her short life and has won awards such as Grammy and BRIT. The songs it broadcasts are generally Soul, R&B and Jazz. But you can feel the jazz skill in almost every song. One of the highlights of Winehouse is its command of Jazz.
Unfortunately, in her short life, she came to the fore with substance abuse and mental health problems. Her successful life also had an invisible side. She passed away on July 23, 2011.
Amy, My Daughter
The author of the book is Mitch Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse is Amy Winehouse's father. He wanted to write a book before.But when his daughter died, he set the subject of the book he was going to write as his daughter.
The reason I didn't like the book is because her father's own laundering effort is more prominent than Amy's in the book. "I warned my daughter, I tried to take care of her, but she wouldn't listen to me." You will often read sentences such as. It's like Blake and Amy are the culprit of everything.
If you have no idea what Amy is or if you have never read anything about Amy, You might think she has a very devoted father. I don't think it's ethical to comment on that. But I still don't think she have a father like that. It's not my job to make personality or character comments. Therefore, I will not criticize this issue in detail. I can only interpret what I have read and researched.
Amy is a girl who met music at an early age. Although she failed at first, she formed her own style as she grew and gained experience. Although she had a dominant voice that liked to dominate the songs, she was actually as delicate and emotional as a little girl.
Many people are familiar with her hair known as the "Beehive", the eyeliner she uses like a thick line and her dark image of blacks. So what turned this delicate and emotional girl into a woman with a dark image? Is it that she fell in love or what happened afterwards?
Actually, we can say that love is the beginning of everything. Because Amy had met the drug addiction that would have cost her life because of this romance. She had already grown up in a disorganized family. She was looking for someone who could take shelter. She needed love and attention, and she fell in love with Blake.
She met fame at a young age. At first she had no problem with being famous. But her life changed after she met Blake. The paparazzi were following them . Amy was disturbed by this now, but she had nothing. She could only escape. In the midst of a whole life, she was left alone by everyone without realizing it. Everyone says, “Amy acts of her own free will. She doesn't listen to anyone." That was her way of dealing with problems. Because she had no one "really" helped her.
The more pain and loneliness she was experiencing, the more Amy was doing well in music. Because she could only convey his experiences with the music she made. Unfortunately, nothing changed in her life, and things were getting worse day by day. At this point, I can say that some parts of the book are also repeated several times because of this. In other words, you can read similar sentences in similar topics.
Except for 'Rehab' , all the songs in Back to Black are about Blake. I recently realized that the best-selling British album of the twenty-first century is about the most despicable bum God has made.
Said Mitch Winehouse (Page 92). His daughter was driven into a worse event every day by the love that killed her. But he couldn't do anything.
This love made Amy a world star. But she just wanted to be happy. Because all this fame and love she lived through was hurting her. While we listen to her best songs, we can only feel sorry for her. But she lived through hell while writing these songs. She wanted to be happy like everyone else, but unfortunately this request did not come true. On 23 July 2011, she was found dead in her home. In her short life, she had accomplished many things, but she died before what she wanted most could be achieved.
Before I end my analysis, I want to quote a quote from the book.

Kitabın yazarı Mitch Winehouse’dır. Mitch Winehouse, Amy Winehouse’nın babasıdır. Daha önce de bir kitap yazmak istemiş. Ama kızının trajik ölümü üzerine kitabının konusu kızı olmuştur.
Kitabı beğenmemiş olmamın sebebi kitapta Amy’ den çok babasının kendi aklama çabasının ön planda olması. “Kızımı uyardım,ona sahip çıkmaya çalıştım ama o beni dinlemedi.” Gibi cümleleri sık sık okuyacaksınız. Sanki her şeyin suçlusu Blake ve Amy gibi bir izlenim yaratılmış.
