Nyama Beach, a unique beach The beach which has a length of ± 9 km with a very beautiful sand and cool to look at. Because of its length, this beach used to be in World War II, the Allies made Nyama Beach as an airplane runway. The uniqueness of this beach lies in the composition of the sand, which is a mixture of white sand and red sand grains. The sea is blue and the breeze is very cool because there are several trees around the edge of the beach and several places to stop in the form of a small house complete with permanent seating that can be used as a place to relax.
This large area is also used as an annual horse racing event, as well as a destination for playing and swimming. However, it is unfortunate that Nyama Beach is not yet known by the wider community. One of the inhibiting factors is transportation access to Moa Island which is quite difficult.
"Nyama Beach" was chosen as the location for the Standard Activities for Children and Youth for the GPM Class of Maluku and North Maluku in September 2018. This was done as a form of promotion of Nyama beach to the community. Nyama Beach is very worthy of being an international tourist attraction with its natural resources. However, development with sufficient supporting facilities is still needed to become a destination for foreign tourists.
