We were taught Sharing is caring but how many of us actually share things for the comfort of others. Everytime, people tend to look upon own comfort no matter that a little sharing would help others. I remember one instance from a fsmikybtrip few years ago, when a person evade a sit to my aunt even though he has sufficient space left. Instead he prefer to keep his 3 years old kid sitting there. The kid was too small and can be kept at his lap but instead he prefer to allow himself a comfort and in process avoid little comfort to my aunt.
This is what I understood from these lines :
एकवृक्षसमारूढा नानावर्णा विहङ्गमाः|
प्रभाते दिक्षु दशसु यान्ति का तत्र वेदना||
Eka-vruksha-samaaroodhaa nanaa-varnaa vihangamaah,
Prabhaate dikshu dashasu yaanti kaa tatra vdanaa,
Eka = one.
Vruksha = tree.
Samaaroodhaa = ascended.
Naanaa = different.
Varna = colours and species.
Vihangamaah = flying birds.
Prabhaaate = day break,dawn.
Dikshu = directions.
Dashashu = ten.
Yaanti = Go.
Kaa = what
Tatra = there.
Vedanaa = pain, agony.
Birds of different species and colours ascend on a big tree as their shelter during the night and next day at the day
break they again proceed in different directions. So,do they face any pain or agony during their stay there?
By giving the example of birds of different species spending their nights peacefully on a tree, indirectly leers at the tendency among people wanting exclusive facilities for them and not sharing them with others. Surely something which a manking needed to understand and take into considerstion during day to day life.
