The fever
It's been weeks, Ray's body temperature sometimes reaching very high, up to 40 degrees Celcius. Although the paracetamol medication decreases the temperature to a safe degree, it only lasts for few hours. Ray has been taking 15 mg paracetamol, 3 to 4 times a day. His fever is not taking even a day off.
160 beats!
For 9-year-old kids, 130-160 heart rate beats per minute are not normal. This happens most of the time to Ray. The sinusitis infection is disrupting the sinus rhythm due to blockages in the airways. This creating arrhythmia which disturbing Ray's heart rate. He needs to breathe using his mouth most of the time. I know it's hard.
Bad idea
Trying to blow the blockage out from the nose is a bad idea. It's a big NO for an SAA patient. There was one time, Ray hit the emergency red button while I was cooking at the pantry. I leave the pantry and rush into his room. He said he cannot hold it. He has to blow it out. It's okay, I understand. I told him this will happen again if he does it again.
That's happened.
The bleeding lasts for 5-6 hours. I remember from 6.30 pm to midnight. He got transfused one pint of red blood and 4 bags of platelet that evening night. It's a long night. I can barely sleep, but it's okay. I am okay.
Palpitations vs Faith
Tomorrow, May 17th, Ray will undergo a procedure to clean his nose. To get rid of the fungal that makes him sick. That causes the sinusitis infection. There will be bleeding risks and more microorganism infection. I hope and pray so this procedure will succeed without the risks taking place. I can only pray and give Ray hope for what will going to happen. I got my Faith and believe in miracles.
Thank you, you.
This is the end of this post. Thank you so much for your time. Stay safe, and love your family. Goodbye :)
