Any long journey begins with a single step; however, you will never reach the finish line if you don't take that first step to cross the starting line.
Having the courage to take that first step across is the beginning of all success. You may have an admirable goal and a great plan of attack, but they mean nothing until you act.
This is the dynamic principle that separates the winners from the wannabes, the movers from the complainers. By taking action, you will begin to accomplish the things you have planned to do so that you will achieve your dream. You will be moving from "square one" where most people live with their "song" forever unperformed. They die with their "music" still with them and often lead desperate lives.
You can carefully plan your steps through that proverbial no, but until you start using your feet to take steps you will have gotten nowhere. Even the best plans are absolutely useless, unless, of course, you act on them.
Some people are so busy thinking about building their dreams that they run out of steam. They attend seminars, read books and still never reach a significant level of success in their industry.
They never take the step to put what they have learned into practice. Or maybe they started acting but stopped as soon as they got a negative response from someone, or encountered some other obstacle. Perhaps they don't realize that overcoming obstacles is an essential part of every success, big or small. Those who don't want to do so often lead a life in which they just survive, instead of creating a life for themselves and their family.
Take that first step and then keep moving, step by step, toward your dream, until it is yours. Just consider all your past mistakes and failures as valuable learning experiences.
It seems that everyone has their own notion of what will generate new business, what will work and what is necessary. Many of these ideas are genuinely good, too. But, ideas alone will not generate new business or guarantee success. Ideas alone do not make money and ideas alone never accomplish what needs to be done to succeed. Action, however, does.
When you set out to do something, whatever it may be, you will be separating yourself from the huge mass of others. They just sit around throwing out ideas from the comfort of their favorite seat in front of the TV.
When you get out there and do something, and work hard and smart, you will be in the league of achievers who represent only a small portion of the world's population. Commit to keep pushing forward and following through on your plans and promises. Take the appropriate action and you will begin to fly above the crowd.
