Hello everyone!
I don't know if you've heard of the biblical version of "Leaves the 99", but that's exactly what motivated me to draw this drawing.
The story of leaving 99 sheep to find one lost sheep comes from the Bible, specifically from the New Testament. This is one of Jesus' parables and is found in two gospels: Matthew 18:12-14 and Luke 15:3-7.
Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who has a hundred sheep. When one of the sheep goes astray, the shepherd leaves the 99 sheep in a safe place and goes to look for the one lost sheep. When he finds it, he rejoices more over that one sheep than over the 99 that were not lost.
This story emphasizes God's love and care for each individual. God does not forget those who are "lost" and actively seeks their salvation. It also emphasizes the joy that comes from repentance and the return of those who have gone astray.
This parable is often used to illustrate the importance of each individual in God's eyes and calls on believers to rejoice when someone returns to the right path, instead of condemning those who have gone astray. ❤️
And here is the process:
On June 2, the first episode of the 4th season of The Chosen series was released, which you can watch for free. This motivated me further to draw this drawing.
This series shows us the life of Jesus. It is very interesting and helped me to connect even more with faith. 😊
I hope you like it!
