Yesterday evening we had our second meeting in the same place, The Norrsken House.. Although it's been a rainy weekend with some hail the weather was nice at the time I got there so I decided to take some photos again. Above is one of the cable car towers. There is a restaurant up there and you can get the cable car to one of the hills in the city, the one where the Olympic stadium is located as well as the Olympic pools where the swimming competitions took place back in the 1992 Games.
Below is again a picture of the Vela (Sail) hotel with the clouds reflecting on it.
Here's another shot facing north. You can barely see the three chimneys of the old electric power plant which was dismantled several decades ago. They have become an icon of the city skyline. The city government still has to decide what they end up doing with the building.
Another shot of the tower with the sun setting, the palm trees and an iron sculpture which is a Tribute to Swimming as the building behind is one of the oldest city swimming clubs.
Finally, while walking on the waterfront, I stumbled upon this stopwatch with a countdown to the America's Cup which will take place in the city next summer. It was nice to see the hotel reflected on the cube, it almost seems as if it is a transparent structure but what you see is the reflection of what I had behind me.
The meeting was nice, with a few new faces and lots of discussions on how to move forward. I had a chance to meet an old friend from Mexico who moved to town last week and chat with some other attendees.
