It's your birthday Daddy and it feels like it's Christmas already.
I remember the time ago in 2007 when I was in the primary school, you travelled to Lagos (Southwestern part of Nigeria) for 1 whole month.
I woke up one morning and decided I want going to school and my sisters did the same.
We were going to our friend's place nearby whose Dad offered to drop us off at school since his children were our school mates but as your coming back home delayed, so did our enthusiasm to go to school that day and every other day until Mum had to discipline us real good to change our minds moreover, a bad school result wouldn't be the best "Welcome Home" package to give you after such a long trip.
I kept seeing you in my dreams how you came back home with lots of goodies for us but soon found out that were just dreams when I opened my eyes and didn't see you.
But the day you finally came back, I thought that was a dream as well. You got us our first mobile phones, Nokia 3310. Then, it was the trending technology. With it, you gave us as many chocolates that we could eat. We stayed awake all night even though we had school the next day which to our surprise, Mum didn't remind us of with some lashes of the cain as usual. I know now that she understood we missed you as much as you missed us.
It's an honour to have you as my Father Daddy. You taught me to love God, to behave and value myself as a young lady and never to take nonsense from anyone.
I'm grateful that I am a recipient of all your numerous sacrifices, seeds and tears along with the rest of us. Those seeds fell on a good ground and are definitely yielding bountiful results both in this life and the next.
Happy Birthday Daddy π¨ π π π π β€
I love you endlessly π π
Though you don't like much celebrations but I hope you like that little gift I gave you. You are worth more than that and more.
