Good day
Today was supposed to be the 17th Birthday of our Dog named Custo but he left us last February. Up to now, I still miss our dog because he was our first pet dog that lived inside our house.
He was given to us last 2003 by a family friend. I remember the first time he was introduced to us. My dad hid him inside his jacket and he was questioning us to guess what he was hiding, we couldn't guess what it was. He then pulled out an adorable puppy out of his pocket. It was my mom who decided to name him Custo.
He was such a kind dog towards our family members. I remember that he would even defend us, wherein I tried fake punching my brother and he started barking at me and he was like ready to attack me. But he also chose people because if he didn't like you he would snap at you.
While growing up with him it was actually fun taking photos of him because he was really photogenic dog. He would always have a nice pose.
Life without him just feels so different even though we have other pets nothing can ever replace him. I miss the times when we come home, he would be the first one to greet us at the door and we would see him so excited and full of energy jumping at us, asking us to pet him. I also miss the times whenever he sleeps beside while feeling his warmth. Sometimes, I would say that his my personal hot bag. I also miss petting him. Whenever I pet him, it just felt so relaxing and it helped me whenever I was stressed out. The only thing that I didn't miss about him was whenever he peed and pooped inside the house.
There were instances when I unconsciously call out his name when I call our other dog. In the image below Custo is the one on the left and that's Pierre in the right.
In my experience, having dogs is actually fun. They are always there for you when your feeling down and they would even comfort you. But there's a catch if you want a pet dog, you also have to be a responsible owner and take care of them.
I didn't know that there could be so much pain when you lose your pet. It's like losing a family member, I would say that he was my youngest brother who I loved so much. But I guess life must go on no matter what.
Here's a photo of him in his last birthday when we celebrated it. Who would have thought that he would be gone already in the following year. I just want to thank you Custo for keeping up with us all throughout these years. I LOVE AND MISS you Buddy!
