Happy Friday to you all! ❤️ The weekend is (again) just around the corner, the sun is shining on the sky and yesterday I spent a wonderful afternoon with the 20 months old twins, so I feel myself full of positive vibes at now.
Today I'm here to share with you some informations about a beautiful Sound Machine I watched some days ago inside the Palazzo Fabroni Museum of 20th-Century and Contemporary Art.
As I wrote before, me and my hubby visited this museum many times and, during our recent visit, we focused on a new piece there: the Sound Machine.
For us was a wonderful surprise to see that piece there, also because the artists (Federico Gori in collaboration with the master organ builders Andrea Michelozzi and Samuele Maffucci) created it to remember the long long organ-building tradition here in my city. A long long tradition by the family Tronci, the family of the uncle of my hubby Luigi Tronci!!! You can understand it was excited to see this piece there for us. Luigi Tronci now is a 90 years old man always ready to tell a lot of interesting memories about all the musicians he knows. The family Tronci was busy around the organ building for many many years in the past, but after the Second world war they decided to start to work on another fields: cymbals! Maybe some of you knows the Ufip cymbals, so you have to now the founder of Ufip was Luigi Tronci.
Coming back to this Sound Machine, it evokes the sound of the forests and the charcoal moulds. Sounds like the crackling of wood and the creaking of charcoal, the songs of the birds and the wind, and also a melody from the folk song titled "Lamento del carbonaro". This machine was part of a project about another long tradition in my area during the past time: the carbonaio, that were the place where people worked to obtain charcoal from the wood.
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
