It's been a while since I last wrote something and turn it into a blog. Things have been happening differently when I hit 18 years old. And I still can't believe how my 16 years old self can write long blogs, to the point of participating in the campus journalism back in high school and ended up being an Editor-in-chief before graduating.
But because of how busy I was before, I lost the "spark" that was once my hobby. And even today, I have to write this post by blocks because I have homeworks and group practices to do, but funny enough that I can still write despite all that.
Before all that, you may have known me as . That account was created back in 2022, full of unfinished drafts and ideas. Just some random thoughts and my journal. Yet, after years of hibernation and a change of phone (finally), I forgot to back-up the key to access my very account.
The key was saved and pinned in my old phone's keyboard, which is now under the care of my family back in Cebu (I'm currently in Negros Oriental, to be explained later). Despite being retyped by my youngest sister, it doesn't work anymore. Maybe it's a typo, but it was still not working. The phone's screen was also broken and only half of the screen was functional. The rest, pure black screen. So having a new phone was really timed, and I'm glad I can replaced my now 7-year-old phone to a new one I can use for school.
The only thing I can do now is to make a new account under a new username and this time, saved the key in GMail (thanks to Ecency giving an email with the password) and wrote it in a paper hidden inside my personal folder for documents.
Now's that's out of the way, shall I reintroduce myself to the Hive community?
About Me
My name is Stanley Clark Durango, 19 years old from Cebu but currently staying in Negros Oriental studying at Negros Oriental State University as a first-year college student taking Bachelor of Science in Criminology. The second and only brother of the four siblings.
If you're wondering how come me, a past campus journalist, took a course that is somewhat unrelated to the academics strand (STEM) I took in my High School days? Well, my passion is to become a law enforcer, police officer, that is. And thanks be to God that I was able to pass the exams to study criminology.
I've started writing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The reason is to hone my skills in writing, build up my passion, and hopefully can be used to earn even if it's just a little. The blogs I usually write are my random thoughts I want to speak out, the events that is happening around me, and journals. Even short stories that comes into my mind.
As a student, I've been busy just as we all are in our daily lives. But casually, I do tend to be more active at night playing video games and/or study. The degree I took is, no joke, difficult to survive in.
My Current Life
Now in college, I am quite active, that I'm also a part of an organization as a Content Writer: writing captions and contents either for events or certificates, as well as serving the role as an officer.
Some call me smart, some call me a good leader. And honestly, I thank God he did gave me those attributes. My once-doubtful, shy self got out of the comfort zone and be the person I yearned to be: friendly, open, and persistent. And still being the cutest (charizz) and also a Mama's boy.
Lately, I also took the Philippine National Police Academy in hopes to join the Cadetship Program. I'll explain my journey in another blog.
Despite the physique I currently have, I am quite happy that I still survived the college life that focuses both in academics and physical training. And I finally get my parents to be convinced that I am sure of my career path, thanks to my determination and persistence. They say they didn't doubt me, just that I was not in an ideal shape, my physique, which is valid to me. What I did is do home workouts and do running sessions at least once a week or two.

Journey in Writing
To be honest, I am unsure when can I write more. I'll try to make a blog once a week, possibly more d.buzz posts every week when given the chance. Being a college student means balancing both school and personal life.
And being a Criminology student is no feat. I have to lock in throughout my journey. I'll be posting maybe my journal that I can share. But I couldn't guarantee that I can post every week, since I'm still adjusting.
Anyways, that would be all. I'm so happy to be back in the Hive Community and keep my passion in writing alive. I hope we get to know each other in your posts or communities!
With love, Stan.
