The little girl has been trying so hard but she can't just fix it. She has been at it for hours but without a result to her liking. A few times she had put everything aside and came right back into it; failing yet another time. It's unacceptable.
Just because it fits it doesn’t mean that it actually fits.

What was she doing? She was trying to put a jigsaw puzzle together. You know those puzzle pieces with interlocking oddly shaped figures, when you put together it becomes a beautiful picture. Yes, her parents got one box for her just the other day. Unlike her other classmates, she didn't like dolls that much and she's happy with the few toys she got. What she prefers is to draw and so there would never be any shortage of arts and crafts supplies. She saw one of her friends playing with it and the pictures were so beautiful; she loved them. By watching her friend playing with it, she had been wanting to get a set for herself. Hence, she asked her parents to buy it for her. At first, they were slightly surprised as she doesn't usually ask for toys but then they figured probably their daughter was attracted to it because it has pictures. Besides, these puzzles are good for the kids and so, they didn't delay much. Can you imagine how much her face beamed at the sight of that puzzle box?
The little girl was ecstatic, to say the least, and she went at it. As demanded, her father bought a box that contained four individual sets and they were bigger than her friend's at school. She asked her dad to sit with her and see what they can make out of it. They took out the first puzzle pieces and thought of putting the pieces together. The smile on her face never faded for a second. There were only a few pieces remaining, her dad thought it would be best if she did it all by herself and he'd sit next to her and watch closely over her. Even with some difficulty, the little girl managed to put those pieces together.
She wanted to pick another one; but her father persuaded her to play with it later as they had had enough for the day. The next morning, she woke up early and pulled the puzzle set from the shelf. Enthusiasm got the best of her and she ripped open two sets together. Well, she was confident that she'll be able to separate them and put them together but by the looks of it, she's nowhere near to identify which oddly shaped block belongs to which set. Little did she know that it's not only that the interlocked pieces have to match but also the picture. The realization came to her after she "fixed" a few pieces and the picture was bizarre. She picked out all of them and tried fixing them; she tried one, then twice but no, it didn't work.
I'm sure you all have seen those adorable clips and pictures of cats trying to fit in wherever they could; "If I Fits, I Sits" has a funny ring to it. But when did a cat got inside a bottle or bowl and has made that it's home! Almost never. They can fit in but that's not where they should stay; not inside a bottle at least. Have you ever tried packing your clothes in your shoe boxes? Or your shoes inside your cupboard? You haven't? It's absurd right? Your clothes may fit into shoe boxes or you can place your shoes in your cupboards but the placing is off. Just because you can put them there doesn't mean you should put it.
We don't get along well with everyone who are around; with some we get along splendidly and with some, not quite well. Sometimes we find ourselves among groups of people with whom our ideologies, morality or psychologies, nothing matches. Even often the job that we've worked for so hard, turns out it isn't suited for us. Just because your choices of music, movies or food or hobbies match doesn't mean that you're good partners.
If I fits, I sits doesn't mix well with life in general. Sometimes the one that is fitting usually something we never thought of before.
