(Esp-Eng) Increíble Mariposa en origami/Amazing Origami Butterfly (Tutorial)

Warm greetings to all readers. Today I bring you a detailed step by step origami of a wonderful butterfly. I hope you are encouraged to try it.

Lo primero que necesitamos es una hoja cuadrada. En mi caso utilicé una de 21cm x 21cm

• Para comenzar, doblaremos por la mitad (1) y abrimos (2).
• Seguido a eso, doblaremos por la mitad de esa mitad (3).
• Luego repetimos el procedimiento con la otra mitad (4).

The first thing we need is a square sheet. In my case I used one of 21cm x 21cm.

• To start, we will fold it in half (1) and open it (2).
• After that, we fold in half that half (3).
• Then we repeat the procedure with the other half (4).

Nota: en mi caso para no usar las uñas o remarcar con fuerza con los dedos (para evitar ensuciar) uso una regla y la paso con cuidado para dejar bien definida las líneas.

Note: in my case, in order not to use my nails or to mark with force with my fingers (to avoid dirtying), I use a ruler and pass it carefully to leave the lines well defined.

Seguidamente, giramos la hoja y repetimos el proceso anterior:

• Doblar por la mitad (1)
• Doblar por la mitad de la mitad (2)
• Así obtenemos una "cuadrícula" en la hoja (3)

Next, turn the sheet and repeat the previous process:

• Fold in half (1)
• Fold in half of the half (2)
• In this way we obtain a "grid" on the sheet (3)

A esto le falta marcar unas líneas diagonales por lo que:

• Doblaremos de una esquina a otra por la mitad (1)
• Repetimos el proceso desde la otra esquina (2)
• y nos quedará algo así (3)

This is missing some diagonal lines, so we will fold from one corner to the other in half (1):

• We will fold from one corner to the other in half (1).
• We repeat the process from the other corner (2)
• and we will have something like this (3)

• Ahora le daremos la vuelta a la hoja (1)
• Doblaremos una esquina (2) hacia el centro (3)
• Volveremos a repetir con otra esquina (4)
• Y nos quedará así (5)

• Now we will turn the sheet over (1).
• Fold one corner (2) to the center (3).
• We will repeat with another corner (4)
• And it will look like this (5)

• Ahora abriremos los triángulos (1)
• Daremos vuelta a la hoja (2)
• Si nos fijamos hay 4 puntos que forman un cuadrado (3)
• Procedemos a identificarlos y los presionarlos (4)
• Ahora doblaremos dos lados hacia el centro sin cerrar (5)

• Now we will open the triangles (1).
• Turn the sheet over (2)
• If we look there are 4 points that form a square (3)
• We proceed to identify them and press them (4)
• Now we will fold two sides to the center without closing (5)

• Ahora doblaremos el lado superior hacia el centro (1)
• Dejando unas pestañas hacia fuera (2)
• Quedando así (3)

• Now we will bend the upper side towards the center (1).
• Leaving some tabs outwards (2)
• Looking like this (3)

• Ahora repetimos el procedimiento anterior en el otro lado (1)
• cerramos completo y marcamos líneas (2)
• Obtendremos lo siguiente (3)

• Now we repeat the above procedure on the other side (1)
• we close completely and mark lines (2)
• We will obtain the following (3)

• Ahora le damos vuelta (1)
• Doblamos del lado lateral hacia el centro (2)
• Marcamos sólo hasta donde coinciden vértices (3)

• Now we turn it over (1)
• Fold the lateral side to the center (2)
• We mark only up to where vertices coincide (3)

• Desdoblamos y notaremos que se empieza a formar un cuadrado (1)
• Repetimos el procedimiento desde el lado opuesto (2)
• Ya podemos apreciar mejor el cuadrado (3)

• Unfold and you will notice that a square begins to form (1).
• Repeat the procedure from the opposite side (2).
• Now we can better appreciate the square (3)

• Para completar el cuadrado doblaremos el lado superior (1)
• Una vez doblado abrimos un poco para poder remarcar la línea que nos interesa (2)
• Al abrir queda así (3)
• Repetimos el procedimiento (4)
• Al final nos queda el cuadrado bien marcado (5)

• To complete the square we will fold the upper side (1).
• Once folded we open it a little to be able to highlight the line that interests us (2).
• When opened it looks like this (3)
• Repeat the procedure (4)
• At the end we have the square well marked (5)

• Ahora procederemos a cerrar (1)
• Usaremos las paredes internas (2)
• Luego continuamos cerrando desde los laterales (3)
• Hacia el centro y marcamos (4)
• Ambos laterales por igual y nos queda (5)

• Now we will proceed to close (1)
• We will use the inner walls (2)
• Then we continue to close from the sides (3)
• Towards the center and mark (4)
• Both sides equally and we are left with (5)

• Tomamos la figura (1) y le damos vuelta (2)
• Abrimos por la mitad (3) y (4)
• Comenzamos a darle forma a las alas de un lado (5) y (6)
• Luego repetimos del otro lado (7)
• En ambos procedimientos por la parte posterior lo que se remarca es (8) y (9)

• Take the figure (1) and turn it over (2).
• We open in half (3) and (4)
• We begin to shape the wings on one side (5) and (6).
• Then we repeat on the other side (7)
• In both procedures on the back side what is highlighted is (8) and (9)

• Luego del los pasos anteriores, regresamos a la posición inicial (1)
• Allí procedemos a invertir el doble en los laterales (2) y (3)

• After the previous steps, we return to the initial position (1)
• There we proceed to invert the double on the sides (2) and (3)

• Luego de invertir, remarcamos (1)
• posterior a ello, realzamos el siguiente movimiento (2) y (3)
• Repetimos el movimiento con la otra parte (4) y (5)

• After inverting, we redial (1)
• After that, we perform the following movement (2) and (3)
• We repeat the movement with the other part (4) and (5)

• Repetimos el procedimiento con el lado faltante (1) y (2)
• Giramos y estiramos un poco (3)

• Repeat the procedure with the missing side (1) and (2)
• Turn and stretch a little (3)

• Ahora identificamos la línea a mitad de una ala y la doblamos (1) y (2)
• Nos queda un triángulo (3) y doblaremos la punta larga hacia la parte superior (4)
• Desdoblamos y doblamos la punta corta hacia la parte superior (5)
• Al triángulo marcado le doblaremos un poco la punta superior hacia abajo antes del centro (7)
• Luego cerramos el ala (8) y (9)

• Now we identify the line in the middle of a wing and bend it (1) and (2).
• We are left with a triangle (3) and we fold the long end towards the top (4).
• We unfold and fold the short end towards the top (5)
• To the marked triangle we will bend a little the upper point down before the center (7)
• Then we close the flange (8) and (9)

• Repetimos procedimiento para la otra ala (acá un poco más detallado)

• We repeat the procedure for the other wing (here a little more detailed)

• Ya lista nuestras alas, procedemos a darles la forma en la punta (1)
• Lo mismo para la otra ala (2)
• Luego doblaremos otra punta hacia atrás (3)
• El paso anterior servirá para que no se abra la punta inferior del ala (4)

• Once our wings are ready, we proceed to shape them at the tip (1)
• The same for the other wing (2)
• Then we will bend another tip backwards (3)
• The previous step will serve to avoid opening the lower tip of the wing (4)

Ya con esto nuestra Mariposa está lista
