Friends, it's our 1st anniversary of the family 3d-printing business!
We bought our first 3D-printer in summer 2020, but it took a lot of time to study it, to make it work (we got just separate details, not a ready-made printer). So it took some months until we really were ready to take orders ffrom people.
Moreover, almost nobody in my small province town knew about this technology, and how it could be used for life. So it was hard to develop and promote our business to let people understand what it was.
We were in despair because it was really hard to be the first who made something new in the place where people are very conservative.
We met dozens of closed doors and people whose eyes said: "What??3D what?? Don't need it, don't want it whatever it is"
But we tried again and again. My hubby believed in his idea very much, and he was my inspiration too. We made many things for us, for our relatives just to make something and show it in social nets.
We made ads there, we made paper ads and gave them to people in streets. We tried our best...
And in spring 2021 we could get money spent for 3D-printer back - it was a good wave of orders then. Yahoo! At least we got back what we spent! But of course we didn;t regret about buying it because it can really help in many life situations.
It was our motivation to go on!!
So what's now?
We feel much better than a year ago:) Now our page in the social web is rather "alive" and active. Much more people understand what we make and for what. Many people recommend us to their friends, and it works better than any ads.
But we use ads too. Now we've 2 posters in the main city street, and I am so proud of it;)
It's our ad posters in the central street
a street coffee maker is a nice place for ads btw;)
Now we have much more orders, and they have become more complicated and interesting.
And we've become more experienced, we develop our skills, we buy new types of plastic
we try new methods of printing, and now we are really skilfull and cool in this sphere.
For example, it is our current order.
It's not finished yet, but car tuning is our biggest and the most complicated project, and we're about to succeed in it.
at first it was a long process of making a 3D-model
and then we started to print it by small pieces which would be sticked together in the final version
a man who ordered it wants to have a headlight of Honda in his Mazda car:) Car drivers have crazy fantasies;)
some more technical details for cars
it's our first experimental night lamp
it's our gift for Mother's Day
a popular cat made for our customer, we didn't know it but it's a cat from world known Mem:)
a bike detail
I was sure that making a lithography would be very popular here because we were the first here who made it
but people were rather cold to this idea. They all say: "Yeah, cool, nice", but no orders;)
We made just 3 or 4 of them and stopped it.
But in general, our 3D-printing feels good now, and I hope we will develop more.
And of course great THANKS to my HiveFam because I used THIS money to buy it;) So I can say, we managed to started our business thanks to my friends here;) 😍
What can you say, guys?
Is it popular in your place?
Have you ever tried or seen it anywhere? Maybe you use some 3D-printed things?
