Hive

I guess a lot of us on Steemit are now considering the implications of the planned fork to a new blockchain called Hive, I have been posting on Steemit since June 2017 and have made many friends who I interact with regularly and hope whichever way this goes I will still be able to continue this interaction on some platform, unlike the experience I had on a previous platform called TSU, which shutdown overnight.

But let me first start with a photo of the Vessel in Hudson Yard which to me looks like of like a hive

With the Corona Virus still spreading here I have to admit I haven't spent to much time looking into what the creation of Hive means and where I will go, for me my thoughts are more on staying safe till this virus is contained, but I thought this morning I would throw out some quick thoughts I have on this situation.

Although I do see wrong in the way Justin Sun has acted, I also see some wrong on the side of the community witnesses in this matter, I remained hopeful that both sides could stop beating their chest and come to some agreement on a way to agree on a resolution, that is best for all in the long run, but it seems that is not likely now.
I see many people asking questions on the creation of hive and i guess thats only natural, they do enter my head as well even though apart from this post I am not focusing my full attention on them.
Questions such as

Can one stay on both until things settle or does one have to make a choice to only be on one of the platforms Steem or Hive?

What changes are being implemented on Hive to ensure the same situation does not occur ie where someone can buy in a huge stake and attempt to take control of the platform

Will the Hive platform strive to avoid bots and spam accounts

Where will I be in one year from now in regard to a platform

Now I will share the Looking up shot I warned about if you suffer from vertigo, but will waffle a bit more before adding it to move down the screen a bit

MY reason for adding this second shot and why it is a looking up post by the Vessel, I am generally a positive-going guy and try to look at the positive side of things, and that goes with what is going on with Steemit/hive at the moment and the spread of the Virus.

With the virus, many are dependent and in fear, and although I do have concerns as I and my wife have health conditions that make us more at risk, I am taking common-sense precautions, staying indoors except when I absolutely have to go out for essentials, and where possible I will order online for delivery, but I have a roof over my head, and the basic needs in the house to get by, many around the world do not have that so I am fortunate.
Sometimes in crisis, we need to focus on what we do have stay positive and not get dragged down by focusing on what has been taken away from us by events, I do believe here in the States we are nowhere near the peak of the spread of the virus, but if we all act sensible and practice social distancing the curve can be brought down so that less are impacted by it.
